Thanks to everyone for your responses! Here's an update regarding my girl.
I decided to take her home yesterday morning after about 38 hours of diuresis. I also received a full report of all of her blood work, urine tests, and behavior that was taken over the 38 hours she was there. Everything...
Are extremely toxic, even deadly to cats. In case you didn't know, which I did not.
My Stella is currently at the ER vet clinic due to potential exposure. My boyfriend found a lily pod on the floor (I had them high in a vase on a dresser) around lunchtime yesterday. it wasn't torn or chewed...
I actually tried that method a few days ago and it worked out great - until mosquitoes started popping in! I live in the South so there's really no escaping that.
My girl is driving me absolutely up THE WALL. After I come home from work, I love on her and then let her outside on the balcony (supervised, of course). She loves it out there and will play with whatever bugs she finds, curls up on the patio furniture, listens to the birds...cat stuff. So...
Two weeks ago I rehomed my cat, Ollie, to a family friend. Stella and Ollie weren't really bonded, per se...but she isn't used to being the only cat. She's much more needy and vocal since he left, and relies on me for socialization since I live alone. I'm traveling out of town this weekend and...
The needles are very flexible which is what I find perplexing; it seems like they should pass right through without incident! I've had it up for at least two weeks now and he started getting sick maybe four days ago.
We moved the tree to another room the cats are not allowed to get into and vacuumed up all the loose needles. Is there anything I can do to help him in the meantime?
While living in a two kitty household has a multitude of blessings, one of the biggest curses is difficulty in telling who is so sick. :(
I'm almost certain it is Ollie. I always come home to chunky, yellowish vomit (ew, sorry) and diarrhea outside of the litterbox. Both cats still have their...
I did search but did not find any answers catered to my questions, so I'm thankful to have the helpful people of this website! :)
They're not fighting but with all of Ollie's growling and hissing and odd sniffing noises he's making toward Fritz I'm hesitant. Fritz was laying on my lap last...
I have both Ollie and the other resident cat in Sentry brand calming collars...not super sure if those work or not. I have no experience with Feliway but am very interested in trying it, so I'll look into ordering it on Amazon. Thank you for the suggestion. :)
I'm also going out of town tonight...
My new kitten Fritz seems to be adjusting very well to his new home with me and my two other cats! He and Stella get along great and romp and play all over the house; however my cat Ollie is less than thrilled. He does not physically attack Fritz (and he's had plenty of opportunity to do so) but...
While it was pouring rain. Couldn't be more than a couple months old! I wrapped him up in a blanket and took him back to my apartment.
I'm not sure if I'm keeping him or not - I have two other cats and live in a one bedroom apartment. Stella likes him and wants to be friends, but Ollie is less...
I can't stress enough how much I appreciate all the replies. :)
Update: I came home tonight to some yellow clumpy looking substance on the rug where he pees. Definitely came out of Ollie...but what IS it? Does anyone have any ideas? He has an appointment at the vet on Saturday so hopefully...
Thank y'all so much for responding!
I've had Ollie for a year this month, got Stella a few months after him. Both Ollie and Stella are fed Purina ProPlan dry food (the indoor kind) and they get a bit of wet food twice a week. I know Purina isn't the best quality but it is within my budget right...
