Thank heaven for this site.  I just read the posts here and feel so encouraged.  I took my cat (15 yrs old) to the vet a week ago tomorrow because he had a slight discharge from one eye.  While there the vet said he should have his ears cleaned also.  I don't think he's ever had this done...
