    Mom isolating the strongest kitten?

Is this common when there is one obviously larger and more advanced kitten? This nearly 3 week old is already running and pouncing, sitting, cleaning itself, climbing out of its nest box and exploring and beating the crap out of the other ones. The others are fairly normal, one is a bit behind...

    Interrupted labour-TWICE??

Thanks! The vet said exactly what you did - as she's healthy and calm, with no complications, then there shouldnt be any issues... and they said even two interrupted labours isn't completely out of the realm of normal and just to keep an eye on things. I'm quite relieved! I think she has been...

    Interrupted labour-TWICE??

Our foster cat, Missy, had three adorable healthy little ones Saturday night. I could feel that she still had a couple in there, but it was very late and she did so well with the other three that I thought she'd be fine to deliver the others on her own. Next morning, still only three babies...

I'm a basket-case... foster due any time now.

Well, not only are they not here yet... if I had to hazard a guess I'd say she's stalled. Doh! She seems very normal this morning and isn't panting any more. Still doing some hardcore nestin prep though!

I'm a basket-case... foster due any time now.

Oh good grief! I'm in her room now (typing on my tablet) and Missy is panting and breathing extremely quickly. She hisses slightly at the beginning of what I can assume is a mild contraction... and she's doing this all the while scarfing as much food into her gut as she can in between...

Penny was rescued on June 21st. She is huge. When will she ever deliver?

Good grief, are they quite sure average pregnancy is 64 days? It certainly does feel like forever. I don't even think I was on pins and needles like this when I was waiting to pop with my own three kids !!

    Hello! Crazy cat lady here!

I have a feeling I'm in good company ;) We have two of our own, and for a long time have been somewhat of a halfway house for strays and ferals on their way to the local no-kill shelter. Well, my kids have been begging me to foster a pregnant cat for a long time, so we finally broke down and...

I'm a basket-case... foster due any time now.

Basically I have a kitty spa... I'm laid up with a busted PCL so I just ice my knee and give her pets all day, help clean her bottom, sing to her, paint her nails (kidding, kidding). I'm going a little nuts from the not being able to walk and the waiting for the labour.

I'm a basket-case... foster due any time now.

Oh we're very prepared... have been for so long that I'm really ready for her to have these babies. She has her own room with several nesting spots and is on performatrin ultra grain-free like the rest of our cats. I had been giving her wet food but but she's been refusing to eat it for the...

Penny was rescued on June 21st. She is huge. When will she ever deliver?

Well, this thread makes me feel better! Our foster cat was taken off the streets June 25th and I'm absurdly excited for her to go into labour. It's nice to know that Penny finally had hers! Congrats on the little ones! :)

I'm a basket-case... foster due any time now.

Someone needs to talk me down...lol... I'm hardly sleeping I'm so excited/nervous for our foster kitty "Missy" to have her babies. She's been off the streets for exactly 62 days, she's absolutely huge and showing next to no signs of impending labour. Still eating... still chillin' out... she...
