    Preparing 2 nesting homes

We did See a vet because for the first one it had been an hour and the kitten had come out but the placenta was still inside the mother, so we rushed her to the vest, bear in mind this was at half 1 in the morning and they said that if she doesn't give birth by the next day, take her back to...

    Preparing 2 nesting homes

So my cat is pregnant for the second time, and the first time she was pregnant things went fine, except from the fact that one kitten died and one got lost. This time we want to be a bit more prepared. The first time we just had one box where she both fed and gave birth to the kittens in them...

    Small Cat vs Fox

Luckily for me I live in Britain so the only animals which threat my cats are foxes or fellow cats. I know foxes can kill cats but it's also the same with cats. I also know that foxes usually won't attack a healthy fully grown cat, the only times when they do attack cats are when they're really...

    Small Cat vs Fox

She's back now and the bigger male, it started heavily raining and I think the male got in a fight with another male because the cat was trying to find shelter and stumbled across them, but they're alright. I don't mind the male out at night because he's a regular sized cat it's just the female...

    Small Cat vs Fox

Hi, first of I just wanted to say sorry if this isn't in a suitable secion of the forums but I have no idea where else to put it. Anyways I have a small cat, she's over a year now and is the size of about a 4 month cat. She's had kittens who are almost 5 months now. Anyways, in the past she's...

    Dirty Bottom!

My mother is not sure what the name of the infection is, but it was a stomach infection. He's getting better and putting on more weight now.

Yeah we took him to the vet and apparently he had some infection. The infection also caused him to loose a lot of weight. But he is getting better now. Thanks guys for all your help.

    Dirty Bottom!

That's the thing it's actually worse than it looks, the camera quality is bad and it was hard to get a good shot.

    Dirty Bottom!

A little update, I went to look at his bottom againe and part of the poo at the bottom of the bottom is like broken and I looked and there was all this brown gooey stuff. He's trying to come on me right now and I will call the vets.

    Dirty Bottom!

Thanks Maewkaew, I did check the ingredients but I didn't find ground maize or corn in the wet food and neither in the biscuits but I did find regular maize. Anyways the kitten isn't a longhair cat and if it was to do with the hair the other kitten would be having the same problem, but then...

    Dirty Bottom!

Yeah I'll call them first and ask them what they think. It's much worst than what it looks because the camera that I used is a bad quality one, I think like 5mp. But yeah it's a shame really because he's so loving and every time I walk into their room (We keep them in a big room because we don't...

    Dirty Bottom!

Okay so the kitten with the dirty bottom I managed to get a picture of fine, but his sister with the clean bottom I couldn't, but that doesn't really matter.

    Dirty Bottom!

Well both of his parents are our cats and we've had him since day one. He's lost two siblings, one we think died of dehydration when he was 2 days old and one managed to get outside somehow when he was 10 weeks old and we haven't seen him since. We only feed our cats the best of food, we don't...

    Dirty Bottom!

He did have diarrhoea but not anymore. When I clean him I literally give him a bath, I wear plastic gloves and remove it with my hand because it's too hard to use anything else. I tried using wet wipes but it wouldn't do anything. And what do you mean by 'solid stools'. I myself don't really...

    Kitten always hungry

Well if he is eating a lot it can be a good sign. But also a bad sign, but I doubt this, he could be eating a lot if he is sick, but also does he have diarrhoea or vomiting? If he doesn't it is a good sign. However you do want to be careful that he doesn't get used to eating this much as he can...

    Dirty Bottom!

So here we are with our 12-13 week old kittens. Anyways, one of the kittens has a very dirty bottom. It takes about half an hour just to clean his bottom and I know it hurts him and is very sore. Not only that but it is very hard and takes forever to remove the poo but it is stained to his tail...

Eight to nine week kittens still nursing and more on the way.

Now my cat has given birth once, with my little experience I still know a lot. By that age they should stop feeding so try buying bottles of cat milk (although this can become costly). If she is pregnant and her nipples are bleeding they need to stop asap because of nipples in that condition...
