Thank you!!
Okay, so for one cat the price will not be too bad, unless of course there is a major medical problem.
We visited the cat todayand she is soooo friendly. Definitely a lap cat. We would would put him in our spare bedroom, which is kind of my daughters play room. So I would have to...
So, I was on here about 3 years ago when we almost adopted. Well, my daughter is older now, 7, and we may possibly be adopting a 5 yr old declawed orange tabby. I have researched alot over the yrs about cat care, so I kind of feel well informed, but a little overwhelmed as we have not had a pet...
Yes! I looked into these. I read a lot of conflicting reviews. I also think it would get expensive replacing these all the time? If the cat is not laid back, I woudl assume these may be difficult to get on?
I think it sounds easier to just trim the nails every 2 weeks. Would that help greatly...
I understand. But I also understand its a 50/50 chance with clawed cats too with their biting/scratching behavior.
Yes, I would adopt from a place that fosters so we know. I have my eye on a cat that has claws, but I get turned off because of all the horror stories I have heard about scratched...
Here I am back on the forum!! About 2 years ago you were all so helpful to me when we almost adapted an 8 yr old cat. Well time when on, and we are thinking about it again. My husband is more on board, and my daughter is turning 7 this month!! I feel her maturity level is at the appropriate...
Thanks so much!! I will have to look again, or shoot them an email about any cats, coming in declawed..I agree, maybe the foster homes are better...definitely more appealing...and you can sit and get to know the cat better....I think its hard for me now though cause I do have an attachment to...
Update: Ok..so we have to visit Victoria again for my hubby to see her again, but no one was there today ....So, we went to another shelter in NJ, that is rated 5 stars, just for my hubby to see some cats, cause he knows nothing about them...And I thought we would check out some declawed cats...
Love this!!! I have so many mixed feelings......One day Im fine with it..I know I want one......Then the next hr I get anxious over it....Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with change....And I definitely research too much,.I know I have to go with my gut....And we have only one daughter, only...
Ok..So so far, we still have our eye on the one yr old cat with claws..(the 12 yr old cat was adopted)..I did call my vet, and they dont sell or recommend soft paws...They feel they fall off, and none of their patients use them...But anyway, I still am in love with the very first cat I saw and...
Well, now I found a cat completely opposite of what we first wanted..LOL..This one is a yr old, just got to the shelter, and not declawed....
All black with a white face and paws...Looks very healthy, so far very gentle, and came right over to me...Sooooo, now it will be my husbands decision...
Thats what the shelter said..get a cat that will be relaxed so we can cut them on their own..she also said most cats will not scratch furniture when you provide a post?? Not sure about that, but I hope its true...LOL
Thank you!!! Just spoke w the shelter, and they feel the cat is not good for us.....she suggests coming to the shelter and meeting all the other cats...great info! Do any of you use the caps?
