Thank you so much. I like to look at pictures of her and remember the stuff she liked to do.
This is Honey listening to her favorite You Tube video, "Two Talking Cats". She loved it. I would play it for her over and over.
The Pope said dogs go to Heaven. But we already knew our pets go to...
One year ago we learned that we had done all we could. We took her home for the last time, then we brought her back the next day, to go on a final journey over the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us. I miss you so much, my little girl. Sleep in the sun and be free of pain. Love you to the moon and back.
About a year ago I knew she was losing weight. The vet came by with good advice. But we lost her December 2013. She loved the sun and she liked to bite my yellow flip-flops. People here were very helpful when the time came. It is still hard to go down the cat food isle. I tried all kinds of food...
Jcat and Betsy, that is so sweet of you. We are grieving, no way to avoid it. Keep expecting to see her. Feel empty. Sometimes feel mad. There is a blizzard here (Michigan) so I can't even go out and walk, my usual way of dealing with stuff. Sooo nice to have this site. My friends and FB...
We have to decided to have her cremated in the least costly way and to donate the savings to the shelter where we found her. I feel strangely at peace. The doctor who will be attending her is the same one who attended our Vancouver many years ago. He is gentle and loving.
Thank you for your kindness. I feel better after some sleep last night. I woke up in the middle of the night and read these loving messages, so I was able to go back to sleep. My husband has been just super and slept on the couch because she wanted to sleep by the heat register in the living...
Despite everything, her kidneys crashed and I am told she will die in 2-3 days. They could keep her in hospital and give her IV fluids and antibiotics but even then just 6 more weeks if lucky. We tried so hard. She is sleeping beside me now. We are taking her in tomorrow. I am so sad. We tired...
Thanks, Stephanie! I will keep her on the pepcid and hopefully she will at the least maintain her weight. I need to be patient, I guess. As for me, all I need to do is look at a cookie and I gain weight.
Thank you for answering!!!
She has been on the Pepcid for 2 weeks. She is free fed and tends to eat little bits of food throughout the day. No more puking since the Pepcid (yay!) but she really doesn't gorge. She may possibly have been abused as a younger cat so I hate the idea of doing things...
Hi - I wrote last July about our CKD cat who went from 6 pounds, 7 ounces to 6 pounds while we were wintering in Florida. Slowly she lost another 2 ounces until about 2 weeks ago when our vet put her on Pepcid ac. Since then she has stabilized her weight, seems much perkier, seems to be eating...
