I have a decent camera. It's an Olympus DSLR. I would like to take a few good shots of my cat. I'm a little new to it. How do I get the nice blurred backdrop and the focus on her. She has a lot of silver and I want to catch that. Any tips?

Haha good point. But the voice and basement dwelling don't help the case haha. If I catch her stealing any rings and dipping back down to the basement I'll start worrying. On an unrelated note. Yeah she is a cross and I never spoke a word of it when my mom was adopting her. Most "purebred" cats...

I just wanted to say, I'm glad I read these posts. Ben looks awesome. This is what it's all about. 

Cellaphane from cigarette packs or crinkling paper... the sink stopper.... anything shiny out of my purse. All things I taught my mothers cat to fetch before moving out ;) She still steals the sink stopper and you can't smoke around her or she will steal you $7 pack of smokes. More effective...
