    Kittens eyes opening when they are only 24 hours old

    My cat had kittens just yesterday morning around 9 am, and yet today one of the kittens already has its eye fully open. I always heard when I was younger that if a kittens eyes opened that early it meant that they were going to blind when they got older, is this true?    I have never been around...
