I am very happy that he is still wanting to eat and he is telling you he wants to through his voice. I went through this with my Gray Girl so I know what you are going through. Take it day by day and enjoy those days as much as you possibly can.
Hopefully he will recover!
I am kinda of going through the same thing you are. I can only imagine what it must be like to be a vet and see cats and other animals put down daily, must be a very hard thing to watch. My cat was just getting worse by the day but while not in pain she had lost a lot of her quality of life. Its...
My baby girl has left this world and I hope to a better life. We found this cat meowing at birds in our back yard some 15-16 years ago when I was in Middle School. She was our neighbors cat that we fed outdoors for years and petted daily. They moved when I was in high school and left her behind...
She was one great cat, absolutely loved everyone (and their laps). I think a friend of mine said it best on facebook when I posted just how devastated I was to have to put her down, "Sorry to hear that man, I am not a cat guy but Gray was alright."
Thanks for the poem above, as a believer in...
I don' t personally believe the doctors knew exactly what was going on but they thought it was a brain tumor that was causing the issue. They had her on a high dose of antibiotics but her rear right leg just kept getting worse. They wanted me to take her to Virginia Tech for examination but I...
Blood work was done and came back clean on everything. Its bizarre but it all started with her eye and then we noticed these bare patches of no hair on one of her front legs and on both of her back leg (on the inside of back ones). Then the leg issue started about 2 and a half weeks ago and got...
Elena:
Best thing I could tell you to do in enjoy the time you have with your cat. I had to put mine down this morning (15-16 years old) so I know how you feel about something has to be able to cure it but there may not be. Hopefully things will turn out better for you than I.
Otto:
My other poor cat is already in a state of grieving I believe. We have been trying to give her as much attention as possible. Its been really hard to deal with all of this and having our newborn child in the NICU at the hospital at the same time. I am going to have to try harder to spend...
Guys thanks for the vibes and such but this morning I made a decisions that I feel I had to make before things just got worse. I took her to be put down, one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my life. My heart is just absolutely broken but she had gotten to the point where she...
New kid on the block here:
Love cats, have two currently:
Gray Girl (Tabby) - Age 15-16 (currently not in the greatest of health, not sure how much longer she will be with me)
Sassy (Tabby) - Age 4-5
Sassy is a little nut case of a female, she is pretty small but fast and loves to get into...
Her bed is like 4 feet from the liter box so access is certainly easy for her. Lots of prayers for her, really hoping she is able to pull through this.
She appears to still want to eat (she loves that and her cat milk) and stuff and she will leave her bed to walk around for a bit but its not often. two weeks ago when I took her in for her eye she did give me ear and eye drops to give her twice daily. Right now she is only on the pill...
My mother has a cat that has this issue, he has been to the vet twice for a blockage of his urinary tract. Our vet has him on special cat food that should prevent the crystals from forming and thus far he has been ok. I remember just how bad he was the first time this happened to him so I hope...
moving her back legs and she has an eye that is really red. Took her to the vet two weeks ago when she was only having the issue with her eye. She was given some eye drops that my vet thought would clear up. Two weeks later her eye hasn't cleared up and now she is having issues moving her back...
