I think you and your cat are fine! It is normal for a cat to lick herself.... just make sure you rinse the shampoo out well! I don't think there is any harm since you are using a shampoo that is intended for cats, and as long as you follow the proper directions on the bottle there should not be...
Hi,
My kitten is 4 months old, almost 5 now. Ever since she has been teething she has been really bad with chewing electric cords and wires... She has destroyed many many things like my laptop charger, cellphone charger, HDMI cable, headphones, you name it !!
Now, I figure she is chewing...
That sounds terrible! I will not have her declawed and I have already told my vet this, in fact the doctor told me he did not suggest the procedure as it is very painful and not necessary. I am glad to know he is against declawing himself.
I will keep this in mind though when she does get...
Thanks for the advice. She is going to the vet tomorrow for her 2nd set of shots, and I will most likely tell them I will use the plan ONLY if they can exclude the urinalysis and revolution from it.... everything else in the plan are things I was going to have done anyways, and with the plan...
I was just wondering what is a full urinalysis with bladder ultrasound?
Is it necessary for an indoor kitten to have one?
Also, is a 6 month supply of Revolution necessary? She does not have fleas. She is the only cat in the household, no other pets.

Thanks everyone for the advice!
NutroMike - I know cats have sensitive stomachs and that I must gradually introduce her to a new kibble.... so is it safe to feed her various kinds of wet food without doing that? She has tried 2 different brands so far without any issues... I'm about to head to...
I just want to say: Good for you for being Mickey's new foster mama! Not just anyone would do it with such an open heart!!!! I hope everything goes smoothly with his weight loss
Kuddos!!!
Being so young their personalities may change over time... it also depends on their home environment and how they are brought up. I think you should just go see them for a bit and go with your gut feeling. No matter how their personalities end up being, they will be your babies!!! If your like...
I use non clumping clay litter for my kitten.
I scoop it out once a day (twice if she makes a real stinky one!)
I put it in a plastic bag, and then outside in the trash.
Once a week I empty out the whole litter box and wash it out before putting fresh litter
Before adopting my kitten, I had really high hopes for toilet training her. But I've done more research about it, and in the end I think it's just better to stick to the litter box for the sake of health and safety for my baby (as GoldenKitty45 stated)
Yes - canned food 2x daily with added water. She eats about 3/4 of the smallest sized cans daily. (the can recommends 1 whole can per 3lbs, and she's about 2.5lbs) I'm experimenting with different brands of canned food, and I'm limiting the fish flavored ones!!
I give her a very small dish of...
