Well put! All our cats are special to us cat lovers and most of us don't have pedigrees. :)
I think when we get a cat that has special markings, colors, fur texture etc. we would
like to know what breed it resembles. In my case I used to have a Tabby/w stripes (RIP),
and knew she was a DSH, but...
I've been looking up the classic/blotched Tabbies and he does resemble them quite a bit.
His markings are unusual to me, but I haven't been around many tabbies.
I appreciate the "handsome" remark :-) He's a special fellow :-)
I'm enjoying the discussion on tabbys. I wondered if this pic is clear enough for
you to make a guess as to what kind. He has short hair and very little undercoat.
He also has what reminds me of a butterfly pattern on the back of his neck.
Thank you for replying and making the nice comment :) I thought he might have some American shorthair in him, due to his swirls and shorthair. He also has very little under coat.
