I am so upset. I've never had fleas before. I have a little boy and a new carpet. I've combed him thoroughly and only found 3. Do you think I have caught it quick enough?

I took a kitten home yesterday. Tonight I was having a bath when he jumped on the side then fell in. I quickly jumped out to get him dry and found a flea. What do I do? He's only 7 weeks. My husband is going to kill me :(

I guess the fear of the unknown? It's different to usual. We don't have window screens as we are in the UK

Also do you treat them like outdoor cats? Neutering? Vaccinations? Microchipped? Etc
