Thanks... and I found out that my cat likes the pate form of canned cat food because it is very ground up, no chunks, cubes, flakes... all smooth.

I've found out that the pate is exactly what she likes. I wonder if I'll be able to switch her back to the dry food after she's healed. I'm having doubts, she loves this pate too much!  Thanks for your reply.  MagMitts
