    Cats and lymphoma cancer

Hi, I haven't been here for a while but I have stumbled upon something I think ALL cat owners should be aware of. One of my cats, SHADOW, was diagnosed with a nasty lymphoma under his right shoulder a couple of weeks before christmas. My local vet referred me to a place in Box Hill South called...

My 15 year old cat suddenly lost the use of his back legs

P.S. I had a 17 year old who suffered a stroke back in 2009 and with a lot of tlc and nursing she lived another 6 months comfortably and passed quietly lying in the sun.

My 15 year old cat suddenly lost the use of his back legs

Sorry to take so long to reply to you lovely people! Shadow made a remarkable recovery. It is all a bit strange - he went all wobbly in the back legs and could hardly stand and 15 minutes later he vomitted up his dinner (and I suspect he had stolen some of the other cats dinner too!) and within...

My 15 year old cat suddenly lost the use of his back legs

My 15 year old cat Shadow was just using his litter box 5 minutes ago and seemed to be standing oddly. When he got out his back legs went all wobbly and he just lost the use of them. Any clues on what would cause this?

Do cats really need to go outdoors?

Although mine are 100 % indoors, they get taken out into the front garden during nice weather and are happy to wander around smelling for a while. They are quite easy to train on a leash if you are afraid of them running away! One of mine, SHADOW, rescued from a shelter when he was 2, used to...

    Don't listen to Tufts University!

I have been feeding my cats raw kangaroo mince on a once or twice a week basis for years and one of them is 20 years old! On researching cat foods (mainly for my CRF boy) I did read that feline and canine gut and intestinal tract digests their food very quickly therefore depriving any dangerous...

What would you recommend to PREVENT this from happening again in the future with other cats?

Ha, I have an old tortie girl girl too - POLYESTER - she is 20 years old and a little cantaknerous. She doesn't like to brushed anymore but still loves a good head rub!!! The crabby tortie females seem to go on forever!!!! R.I.P My dear little Zelda 1992 - 2009 and Maverick, the most gentle and...

4 year old male cat - VERY lethargic, won't eat, won't drink, vomiting

I just read your post and it sounds like Chronic Renal Failure. It is usually and "old cat" illness but a number of young cats end up with it. The bllod screen will answer everything. My fingers are crossed for you and your kitty.

    Help.... Crf :-(

I am so so sorry Smudge had to leave. I know exactly what you are going through. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Maybe Smudge and Maverick will meet up and play!

    Help.... Crf :-(

I just lost a kitty to CRF and it is so unfair. You can be fortunate and have a cat that will have months or years of happy and quality life but, like my boy, it was all over within 2 weeks. You don't have enough time to prepare yourself in cases like this. I hope your kitty is one of the lucky...
