    Panalog ointment and ear problems

Of course they'll want to see her again, it's all about money. No cat = no income at the vet. And don't even try to defend the vet practices, we had a poodle with with adison's and know the games they try to play with people. They know how attached people get and use that as leverage. It's...

    Panalog ointment and ear problems

http://www.discountpetdrugs.com/paoi15ml.html I have a tube of this from a while back when (the same cat) Fanny had a minor ear problem of some kind. I think the problem has returned. Unfortunately I'm low on this and unemployed so I can't afford a visit to the vet at this moment. Is there a...

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

Well, updating my kitty life. Buddy didn't work out. The two never got along (never sleeping on the same bed, etc), and my original cat started being less affectionate towards me. This was BAD considering he's ALWAYS affectionate. So Buddy's now on his 4th owner (didn't work with his first...

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

Just checking in to let you know the boys are getting along famously. The newbie/younger cat is more playful and sometimes Oliver (old cat) gives a good yelp when he's not in the mood. They play and eat and sleep together. All in all, an easy introduction. The plan was to provide Oliver some...

BTW, this was an awesome article: http://www.thecatsite.com/cat_behavi...oducing%20Cats Thanks hissy! (I'm glad I already knew enough of these tips so I didn't learn ther hard way, but there were some items I didn't know)...

HELP!! What kind of kitty best companion for MY kitty?

I recently introduced a 5-6 year old neutered tom tabby (which I've had for 2-3 years) and our new companion, a 1-2 year neutered old tom tiger doing the same technique. Both cats are sweet as sin, so there wasn't much aggression from the get-go. I did the door thing at first, and when there...

Can I bring a disease home to my cat from the animal shelter?

Rabies and distemper are airborne (this was news to me just a week ago), so it's possible... not likely, though... airborne is one thing, surviving on you (the host) long enough for you to give it to your pet at home is another.

Gotta love that melting pot...What's your ethnic heritage?

Was thinking along the lines of Warren Beatty in "Bulworth" "... keep [screwing] each other until we're all the same color..."

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

Okay, so they're 'communicating' now... and Oliver was licking him in an affectionate way earlier this evening, so there's some progress. Hissing ensued during playtime, but that may be normal for them anyway as they tend to chase the same toys. BTW, the couch was free

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

"Their" name for him was "Buddy Boy", but I already use "Buddy" when I address Oliver (he answers to both), so there's a little confusion right now! lol I imagine they'll be pretty inseperable in time, they both have similar personalities minus the 4 year age difference.

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

Well, after going as far as a few email exchanges with the secretary of the national bengal association I ended up adopting through a local agency. After determining the work involved with obtaining a bengal, then the cost... well, it seemed just more 'right' to rescue a stray. New cat and old...

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

Yes, I know that lol My fault for not being clear... But if he's bezerk it's likely that no amount of time will allow them to get along. Some minor hissing and posturing, on the other hand, can be expected. I'm looking at the degree of reaction, not a complete lack-of.

Interesting cat (not mine, advice sought)

That's true, he's pretty attached to me and I almost get the sense that my expression of affection towards another cat could bring up jealousy and potentially cause a lot of tension between them. I'm not in any hurry, maybe I could ask around and see if a friend would be willing to bring his...
