    introduction problem/read prior posts

Hi, I have to almost 5-year-olds tabbies who I adopted together. I have since introduced a dog to them (3 years ago), and they got over their initial hatred of her and now eat with her, sleep with her, etc. I have now taken in a stray (kitten) tabby and my cats are mad at him, and each other...

    My cat's voice sounds hoarse

My 4 year old cat has sounded funny for the past few days. He is normal in terms of eating and behavior. He doesn't seem to have a cold, no sneezing or extra discharge from his eyes. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? He kind of sounds like he's been smoking cigarettes.

fur loss, do I need a vet

I have two cats that are 3 years old. One is a long hair (Dos), the other short(Uno). The long hair has had a substantial amount of hair fall out on his tail, near the base, and on his belly, near his bottom. He seems normal otherwise, and I saw much of the hair come out in a hairball. The...

Hi, Both of my cats (8mos old) are on medication. One for pain for a fractured leg, and the other takes amoxi drops for a cold. After discovering that they love ice cream (they pretty much attack us when we are eating it) I though I'd try giving them their medicine mixed in a teaspoon of ice...

Does the FIP vaccine do anything?

Hi, I have given my two 6 month old kittens all of the recommended vaccines that my vet suggested for cats of their age. I was then talking to my mother in law who works at a vet and is a breeder herself, and she said that I shouldn't waste my money with the FIP vaccination as she said it...

    I never thought I was a cat-lover

Hi, I have asked a few questions on this site (really helpful), but I felt the need to describe my obsessive love of my cats. First, I must say that I didn't want a cat. My husband was the cat-lover, so I agreed to get a cat for his sake. I ended up going to the humane society on my day off...

My kitty attacks my face when I'm sleeping.

Hi, I apopted two male kittens last week. I adore them and their quirks, but I find that I am not getting very much sleep. One of the kittens sleeps pretty much through the night under the bed. He is less cuddly, so he likes to sleep alone. He wakes me up at about 4:30 A.M. when he starts...
