Thank you SO much, stephanietx!  My vet said the same thing, so I started her on kitty pepcid last night.  It's really a challenge to give it to her an hour before eating on weekdays, but she said to do the best I could.  I joined the group, and am looking forward to the support. Thanks again!!!

Although I saw a couple of posts on here about the topic, neither of them addressed my issue in particular.  My 17 yr old has kidney disease, and has recently started swallowing frequently.  Rather than take her to the vet again--I've already racked up a couple of thousand $ worth of debt on her...
