The vet told me that her glands were enlarged due to allergies due to switching food brands. Otherwise there are no symptoms, no nothing, to indicate any problems.
I just took my Amber to the vet for her yearly doses, and the doctor told me my cat had the largest anal glands she's ever seen. I dont think Amber was proud of this announcement.
Anyway, the doctor prescribed Hills Science Diet Feline z/d low allergen (the most expensive food ever made in the...
I am definitely going to show it; I was just worried it would be a bit much. But long after they forget my words, they will still remember those images.
booktigger: that's great that you took on the little guy (maybe not so little). people can be so callous it makes me wonder how they could be...
I am actually thinking about including it in my speech I have to do for school about overpopulation. Just to drive the point home. Would it be bad to show this to unsuspecting students (college)?
It's been a while since I've posted, but I just found something and I want you all to see it. I'm not sure if it's been seen or even if it's appropriate since it is very truthful, and please delete this post if it is not appropriate.
I knew I was touched, and misty eyed, when I saw the...
MissCharlotte, I think that is exactly what it is. I think she's so hungry she really does "wolf" it down (thanks Loveysmummy). We were thinking about getting an automatic feeder but that will not work for obvious reasons (boy eats anything in sight) and plus getting them trained to the feeder...
I was giving them Authority brand but I just bought a bag of Nutro Natural Choice, which they did well on before she started this morning sickness thing.
If she is given hard food in the morning she will throw it up. We have been giving her soft food - in the morning only - and no throwing up. During the day she is fine and we feed them every 4-5 hours, but at night they sometimes go without food for 10 hours or more. Our other cat is fine but...
I want to get Amber a heated bed and hubby says no because he is afraid of fire. He is afraid it will malfunction and start a fire! I know there is always a possiblity of that with anything you plug in but it is remote. Can anyone tell me if they have a heated bed (that plugs into a wall) and if...
Shell, being a freshwater fish owner for about 8 years, I can tell you, you should not put another male. you are right on that. as for the heater thing, it is a myth that they dont need a heater. they may do ok without one, but it will be better for the fish in the long run if you do have one...
I agree with everyone. get her to a vet and get her checked out. keep her in her own room at least until you know she is eating and using the litter box the right way. Then slowly reintroduce her to the rest of the house. sit with her in the room, read to her softly, play with her with some...
As long as it doesnt progress into anything more aggressive, like starting to use claws or more teeth, it might be ok. if it ever does start to get more rough, or if you want to stop this behavior, you should get a toy and substitute that instead of your hand. train her to bite that toy, not mommy!
