We are now 26 days into treatment for Lola's ringworm by her eye, and it looks SO much better! The crusty scabs have about 99% disappeared and it's smooth skin now, and so much of the fur has already grown back! Here's the new pic I took on 10.6.11...

Quarantine, meaning she has been separated from us and our other 3 cats in our guest bedroom for 2 weeks now.

The vet gave a prescription of oral Itraconazole. Then when I contacted the shelter where we adopted her from to let them know, they also gave us meconazole cream but the vet advises against using that cuz it's so close to her eye.

There are not multiple spots, only this one. The area probably looks moist from the cream med. I thinks it's puffy as well, and I have never seen that either. Lola has been getting treatment only since I found the spot on Friday, so 4 days. And yes, I am going to err on the side of caution...

Not to mention the fact that I don't want to keep her locked up if I don't have to. But I have a 2.5 year old daughter and 3 other kitties that would be very susceptible to catching the ringworm, if that's what it is.

We adopted Lola about 3 weeks ago. She was fine when we brought her home, but last Friday I noticed that she had lost some fur below her left eye. I brought her to my very trusted vet 2 hours later. After looking at it, she said she was 75% sure it is ringworm. Being that she was that sure...
