I came home today to find that my cat, Zipper, had passed over the rainbow bridge. She had been diagnosed with a heart murmur at 1 year old, but was asymptomatic. We decided to watch and wait to see how things progressed. Now it's three years later. She was acting abnormal (more reclusive...
Thanks for the info guys! I was able to contact her previous owner, and they had never taken her to the vet in the 3 years since they adopted her. She is only 3-4 years old and very happy and active. I know my insurance won't cover the cleaning, but hopefully it will cover any extractions. I...
Took our new kitty, Franny, to the vet for her check up and her gums were very inflamed and bleeding She got an antibiotic injection and will go in for cleaning in a couple weeks. Hopefully she won't have to have any teeth removed, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

I love the area I live in, but would love to move out of town a bit on about 10 acres in the local foothills. I would also like to have a 1-story (with a cleaning service included). I would love a place to have horses again Not much to ask, right? :P
My cat Gypsy had a FHO done after fracturing her femoral head about 6 months ago. Not quite sure how she broke it, but I'm guessing it's from roughhousing with Zip. She was in obvious severe pain and it made the most sense to have the surgery. She was about 10 months old at the time of surgery...
Thank you all for the complements <3.
Franny hads her tongue hanging out 85% of the time. Just a little bit. It's like she forgets that its supposed to stay in her mouth. She's a goofy kitty too, and as soon as you walk up to her she rolls over begging for her tummy to get scratched

I use non-clumping right now because I have a kitten, so scoop daily and completely change the litter every 5 days to a week. When I use clumping litter, I scoop daily and dump out/wash box every 2 weeks. I will add some fresh every few days to keep the level of litter constant.
