About six months ago we got a new female cat and she is a bundle of energy. She and my 13 year old boy usually ignore each other, but she does like to tap him on the head to get him to play with her which can end up in some pawing the air or him just ignoring the tap. They never fight and...
Well of course there was no hissing, they were eating treats . Keep doing it so they get more positive associations with each other. Also remember to keep rubbing their faces with the same sock to intermingle their scents.
You may need to reintroduce them as if one was a new cat.
This is an summary of a great detailed method, I read in this book.

Have you considered getting the medicine compounded by a pharmacy into a liquid or ear cream? If she won't eat, I would try fancy feast classic salmon. I had a very sick cat and that was all she would eat.
I have read that freeze dried probiotics are just as effective. Is this true. Are they at least close? I am also worried about stomach acid destroying the bacteria before it reaches the intestine. I am considering Mercola Complete probiotics for pets. Thanks!
Just an update. I had the three liquids changed to chews and she eats them as treats. So now instead of 2 squirts of liquid in the morning and 3 squirts + the pill at night, all we have to give her is the pill at night. This has made her a lot more comfortable and she is coming out a lot more...
My incredibly affectionate cat Lilly now hides all day because she is afraid of taking her heart medicine. 3 of her medications are liquid that we squirt down her throat, but the last is Plavix, which can't be liquified. It is a really struggle to get the pill down every night and she runs off...
