Oscar the new cat and Princess the old cat

Thanks for the reply rarepuss. I suspect that Princess is on heat as she has been yowling and meowing the whole night. Oscar just hisses and growls when he sees Princess. No fights so far. Perhaps Oscar is stressed as he's just been introduced to his new home.

Hello everyone, I've just adopted Oscar the Blue Exotic Shorthair and been introudced our new home yesterday. He is 5 years old. I isolated him to one room but he always begs for me to let him out. Princess, the one year old female Ragdoll seems to be excited with this new addition to our...

    Hello from Singapore!

Singapura is considered a rare breed in Singapore. Rarer than the Persians. The govt has been discussing on ways to tackle the issue of stray cats in Singapore. Cat fosterers are doing their part by sterlizing all the stray cats to control their population. If not, the govt bodies will put...

I think my new cat has social issues

But I was told by her previous owner that she has been like that since she was a kitten. Well, I hope that by spaying her, her behaviour will change.

    Hello from Singapore!

Hello. She might be a cross breed between either DLH and Siamese or Persian and Siamese or as known as Himalayan. Just a guess. Hehe. Not pedigreed though. Duncman69, how long you lived in Singapore? Yayi, try clicking on the link perhaps?

I think my new cat has social issues

One unusual thing that happened was that during the morning on her 2nd day in our home, I was preparing to leave my house as I have to book-in to my camp (I'm an Army personnel), Princess responded to my calling of her name, followed me around and even rub herself on me. After a week not home...

I think my new cat has social issues

Thank you for the reply SwampWitch. I've read alot of articles on introducing new cats to new homes and it makes me understand that cats may take from weeks to months to get used to her/his new environment. It may take a longer time for Princess as I have a 3 year old niece at home who gets...

Thanks for the compliments. Got her from a friend of mine who had to let her go due to a new addition to his family. Lovely cat who loves brushing. I'll update you guys with more photos along the way. She has small eyes though as you can see from the pic. LOL.

    Hello from Singapore!

Hello! I just adopted a female cat one week ago. An extremely shy cat. We named her Princess. Not too sure of her breed though. And she has lovely deep blue eyes. Here's her portrait.

I think my new cat has social issues

Hello all. I just adopted a gorgeous one-year old female Himalayan Cat one week ago. I understand that cats tend to be stressed when introduced into a new environment. Her previous owner told us that Princess (her name) is a shy one, who hid under beds for a long time. When she was brought...
