Resqchick, if you mean the one titled Bobtail boy, that is our little Hawaiian kink-tail kitten. Apparently there is a genetic strain here on the island that some of them carry and is pretty unique to the area. He is cute though.
Thanks!
Not too sure. I'm not acquainted with the cat but I gave her all of your suggestions and told her that it wasn't really aggression. Sounds to me like with a puppy. Loads of unspent energy and no boundaries and limits set yet. So, with that hopefully she will take a good play in the am before...
I was wondering if you could help me with a question about cat behavior. A friend's cat (probably about a year old now) seems to either be aggressive or just very playful with our youngest two daughters. It only happens first thing in the morning. He will get on top of either of their little...
My litter is getting older and I've lost my foster family. So, I'm scrambling to place them in another foster or better yet find them great permanent homes. Someone suggested to put into my ads what kind of cat they looked like. Would anyone please help me with suggestions? I don't want to...
I tried to trap on Tues night and came up with nothing. But I made up for it last night. I set 5 traps and caught 0 mongoose, 1 Tom, 1 Momma and 3 very sweet and very little kittens!!! yeah!!!!
Now I have the help of the lady who is feeding the cats (where I caught 10 in two nights and my...
Oh girl, I am asking for any and all suggestions, so please throw them my way. I am not in the least afraid to try a new and different way, trust me!!! I'll give it a whirl with the leaves/brush/dirt idea.
Jimmylegs also had a good point, knowing the personality of the cats you are trying...
Just my worth. Please know that I don't manage a colony, I am merely someone who has been trying to stop the increase in the population of cats in my neighborhood so take this for what it's worth.
I would have her spayed and terminate the pregnancy if it's possible. Some are too far along...
All the traps I use have ID on them. Name and phone number. I also always line the traps with a good bit of newspaper, so they aren't walking or sitting on the metal of the trap. The first time or two that I trapped I had a couple of cats who banged their faces up pretty bad because I didn't...
Do you think that if I put out one "junk" trap out and tie it open that it would serve to get them used to them again enough that when I returned a couple of days later with several "live" traps that they would be ok and go on in?
I have a group of cats that have really gotten wise to the whole...
I see what you mean. If it looks like a specific breed, it might appeal to someone who wants that type of cat but may not be able to afford a pure-bred version of it. That is sneaky....but I LOVE IT! hahahahaaa What they look like and what they are may or may not be the same. But as long as...
I have a question for you experienced trappers. I have been trapping for about a year now, with somewhere close to 25 caught/spayed/neutered so far. I am asking for others to tell me how they do it. I mean what time of day do you find you are the most successful? Where do you set your traps...
StephanZ,
I don't mean to sound dumb, but what is a moggie? Is that the cat equivalent of a mutt for a dog?
I don't know the lineage of any of the cats on the island, there is a little siamese that we trapped a while back, tons and tons of oranges (both male and female) running around here...
