Trying to save a puking cat

I'm sorry Pooh isn't feeling well.  The thought of someone putting a cat down for what could be a minor problem is distressing. It sounds like regurgitation, which could be because the cat eats too fast, or it could be some sort of blockage (like a large hairball that won't let the food pass...

Hairballs, How to treat them and how dangerous are they?

Yes, I've had a lot of luck with egg lecithin, as someone recommended it to me on this site. They've gone from daily to a few times a month! And luckily my kitties love it. I don't even have to mix it in with the food - they eat it right off the top like it's a treat!

These Digestive Enzymes saved my Lanie!

Hmmm. I know they ran a ton of tests, and thought that would have been covered. I will definitively check that out. Thank you for that information!

These Digestive Enzymes saved my Lanie!

Some of you may recall my thread from quite a while ago titled "Lanie is wasting away."  My oldest girl (now 7 - wow! does time fly) had wasted from 9 pounds to 6 in the course of a year because she threw up anything and everything I fed her.  I discovered raw food in the course of that thread -...

    Moving from big to small.

I totally agree with Mooch's response.  Before you move, buy a couple cat trees and some scratching posts, whatever you can afford, and set them up so that when you move they'll still smell like "home" and be a place of comfort for Bing.  Same for bedding / litter box / food dishes / toys if...

How to protect leather sofa from kittens???

I've had a leather sofa and two hand-me-down leather chairs since before I had cats.  I have actually never had a problem with any of my cats trying to scratch them.  I have plenty of scratching posts around, but the most important thing that has saved the leather are the Soft Paws/Claws that I...

    Kitties no longer getting along

Lanie just had a check-up last month, but I think Lily's due for shots soon so I'll go ahead and schedule an appointment on Monday.  Good idea, thanks! And yep, the cats have always been confined to the bedroom when unsupervised.  Thankfully my current home is larger now than the apartment I...

    Kitties no longer getting along

Hey y'all, thanks for checking out my post.  I apologize in advance for writing a book, but I wanted to be thorough and tried to include as many details as I could in case one of them could help you help me.   Recently my three kitties have been at each other's throats more and more.  It...

    Lanie is wasting away...

Sorry for taking a ridiculous amount of time to get back to y'all.  I thought about making a new thread, but this one has a lot of information in it that is important and pertinent to the situation. We've put Lily back on dry food - Blue Wilderness, until we find a better alternative - because...
