I currently feed my cats a combination of EVO dry kibble, EVO wet, Innova wet, and raw meats/organs/bones/etc. Im looking for some additional suggestions on commercial kibbles and canned foods. I prefer something grain-free... (This Innova is just a supplement to the EVO canned to give them...
As much as I brush one of my cats, he still gets furballs this time of year. I hate how sugary most laxatives are and I can't imagine it being very good for them. Does anyone know of either a low sugar laxative, or an alternative laxative that can be used?
I know for my ferrets I use petroleum...
So, Archer has been digging in Nestle's litter box. Im assuming this was some attempt to mark his territory. Nestle seems ok with it for the most part. She was still using the litter box all day even though he did it... I had her downstairs with me all day with playpens up in the living room so...
Thats what Ive been doing... The moment he gets too rough and she starts hissing at him and he doesnt back off, I grab him and lock him in the bathroom...
I have a 10 month old neutered male siamese mix, Archer, that I've had since he was 8 weeks old. Just this last weekend I got a 9 week old siamese female, Nestle, who hasnt been spayed. I've been trying to introduce them since I got a clean bill of health from the vet on Monday. For the most...
I feed EVO to my ferrets, and my cats and had the same concern when the buyout happened. Some friends of mine actually went an purchased every bag of EVO they could find in their areas because of all the concerns. I have to agree though, so far there hasnt been a change in anything. That doesnt...
Yah, Im really excited. And she's starting to calm down a bit. The first couple days here all she did was cry. Which, with her being siamese, was a LOT of crying... lol She's getting to know us better, and was even playing last night which was nice to see.
I'll call tomorrow and see if there's something she can give me just in case. Is there something specific I should ask for? Will the revolution take care of tapeworms too?
Update from the Vet:
Nestle is going to be ok. The Vet had the same thoughts I did at first exam though... She did a fecal test which came back negative for everything. She was shocked at the amount of mucus in her stool though... She checked for ringworm and any other fungal infections and all...
She said she is, but, from what I've read online, a lot of the "breeder associations" out there don't actually monitor anything. It's just you submit paperwork saying who you are and pay the annual enrollment fee and your in... Doesn't really mean much.
As for the landlord... Yah, the home...
In your experience, with the good food, and proper care, how long does it usually take for a kitten to stop smelling like this? Even this morning, my son held her for a minute and at 8 years old, he commented that she needed a bath and smells. She's had baths the last 2 days...
Vet appointment is at 3:30 this afternoon! WOOT!!!
My boyfriend and I talked a lot about if we should report the previous owner and we're not entirely sure what to do about it in all honesty. Yes, she considers herself a "breeder", although, she's NOTHING like any of the ferret breeders I've...
Actually, I have some A/D here!!! I keep it on hand for the ferrets for exactly that reason. I was just worried it would be to rich for her given the horrible food she was eating before. I'll go mix some in with the EVO wet food she's eating right now though and I'll pick up some KMR tomorrow...
Thanks! I was actually looking at some at the store today but the only kind they had was Hartz, which is a company that I've learned to stay away from like the plague with ferrets. Not sure how it actually is for cats, but I imagine not much better.
Is there a different brand that would be...
