well, I am just doing an open feeding with Purina Indoor cat forumla. We get the huge $10 bags (about 5 at a time), and that takes us through a month or so with the 9 cats. I guess I'll keep it open but I'm considering doing something timed because of our recent situations where some of them...
I'm pretty worried also about putting in wet food, because of just how much it would take to feed everyone. On occasion we let them all split 2 or 3 cans of tuna spread out on a plate... but daily wet food feedings would get to be very costly I'm afraid. We already go through about $50 of dry...
So, with our herd of nine now, I'm going through more food of course. I'm not sure it would affect how MUCH they eat, but it got me thinking about what differences there might be (pros and cons) between just continuing to let them open feed (it's there whenever they want it), or setting up some...
I'm not new to TCS Been here for quite a while infact. Started with my boy Jarama who's about 4 now... Stella and Jalpa make #8 and #9 in the family now! I'll have to start a new entire-family thread soon for all the pics and back stories involved :P
She came home the next morning, when things cooled down and got quiet outside (just like lost-pets.org suggested might happen!) She was just waiting outside the front door meowing for someone to let her back in.
I put the screens back in the frames the CORRECT way. Apparently people took them...
Well I'm thinking if I lined the yard with something, it would keep the other cats out (they bother my boys through the windows at night), and keep my cats IN if they're ever outside again... Or at least it might help ya know?
When they do knead, they flex their nails in and out as they go. They're not meaning to scratch or hurt, but it's a side effect sometimes. Just keep them trimmed and you'll be fine.
Our experience with suckling has been limited really to 2 of our young boys. When we got Isolero and Cala, Iso...
I know that food is a wonderful attractor for cats. Can of tuna = hundreds of new 4 legged friends.
But I'm wondering if anyone's ever developed a cat REPELANT? A scent of some source, that will keep a cat away? The uses of this for keeping neighborhood cats out of my area, and of course...
So, last sunday while we were helping my girlfriend's uncle move somethings from his mother's home (estate cleaning, etc)... Jarama, the eldest of my herd, pushed a screen out of a window in the kitchen and went exploring. He was gone (that I know of) for about 12 hours before he came trotting...
Does anyone know of any kind of tracking system for a pet? I'm thinking along the lines of the HomeAgain, or AVID microchips for cats, but anything like a collar or something that might actually transmit some kind of signal you can look for if the cat isn't right infront of you? Has anyone...
For the second time in one week, my eldest cat has knocked out a screen from a window downstairs and freed himself. This second time, just a few hours ago, he freed himself and 3 others. 1 is still missing, but we're hoping we find here soon and safe. She's not that adventurous and she's a...
So... I haven't posted much here lately, but this I just couldn't go without sharing with you folks. I posted this on our (mine and my girlfriend's) forums site www.vwvixens.com. This is how my day went:

I was working on the bug today (surprisingly didn't get much done, thats a whole...
Just listening to Urraco and Jarama wrestling in the foyer, and Isolero, and Cala purring away in the living room with me, and Espada jumping up and down in my lap because she wants attention now that I cleaned out her goopey eye and she can see again
^ not having a cookout that I know of but plans can change in an instant around here.
> I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up covered in cats!
v can you talk in any funny voices?
Well looks like this site has opened my eyes once again. I'll look into additional boxes in the very near future... or into making one or two very large ones on my own out of some old rubbermaid storage containers (big and deep!)...
Thanks.
We really haven't had all that much problem with the...
Hey folks.
We have 7 cats/kittens now, and of course surface area of the litter box is at a premium! Even with being scooped 3 times a day, it's just a constant battle. The days when everyone is out running around working and doing errands, it's just horrid by the time we get back and can do...
So,
Espada, one of our youngest kittens just woke up from a mid morning nap (#3 of the day I believe) and is being quite lovey as I post and read up on vixens. So I took a moment to give her a lil face rub (she likes those!) and I'm looking at her eyes, which are 2 different colors for those...
The pics on this thread no longer work folks. They were linked to VWvixens.com (vixen's discussion forum site we own), and since there was a server failure and we had to rebuild, the pics they're linked to are gone.
We still have all of the pics though. I save everything! and in HI-res too...
