    Cat is lonely..

Due to health issues, I had to give my male cat (Yohan) back to the animal shelter. This broke my heart but I know it had to be done.  I decided to keep the female (Shadow) for my son.  If my condition continues, then I will also have to give her back. She is obviously lonely and looking around...

    Advice needed for cat food

Hi, I have 2 rescue kittens about 6 mos old.  One of them, vomits about every 2 days.  Usually it is liquid but sometimes it appears as though the food wasn't digested.  I am not sure which one is doing this as it always occurs when we are sleeping.  At first, I thought it was because they...

    You were too young..

I had to put my sweet Pawlee to sleep on Monday due to unknown reasons.  She had fluid around her lungs and an inflamed heart.  The vet thought that perhaps she had a heart defect but she was obviously in distress.  Although she wasn't a lap cat, she was a great cat and I miss her.  She was a...

What to do w/ neighbors outside cat

Our neighbor's cat has been urinating (and other business) by our grill and our sliding door.  I have a female cat that is not allowed outside but she will often sit by the door or window watching. I love all animals but what should I do if the urine is so strong that it is making my husband...

    Stopped using scratching post

It's been about a month since I have seen Pawlee use her scratching post and I don't understand why.  She likes to try to scratch the walls or her favorite is my son's bedframe.  I spray her at night to prevent this. Can someone tell me why and how do I get her to use it again. PS..not sure if...

    She fits right in but..

Well, it has been about a month since Pawlee came into our house (rescued about 6mos old now).  She didn't hide or anything and seems to be happy.  She is not a lap kitten and doesn't like to be held but prefers to be close by someone.  She slept with us when she had the cone on her head but we...

    Brushing help

Just inherited Jimma. She is 14-16 yrs old. I tried brushing her but it wasn't easy and there was no way that she was going to let me brush her belly. I tried holding her neck fur but perhaps I wasn't doing it correctly. Any advice?

    New here and new advice..

Hi, new cat owner. Never had cats before (since childhood) due to asthma and allergies. We just adopted my dh's grandfather's cat because no one wanted her and I just couldn't leave her. Jimma is 12-14yrs old. A very beautiful cat but not a lap cat. She will meow for me to pet her and...
