So true for me with corded yard tools. Not just a matter of needing longer cords but also not having an outlet nearby to plug them into. And then there are cutting cords. I think I have cut thru an extension cord at least three times while trimming hedges. Now it’s pretty much all cordless...
I hired someone to mow my lawn last year but they drove me crazy because I never knew when they would show up, never on the same day so the lawn was either too long or didn’t need mowing yet. Doing it myself this year and we will see how it goes.
I have a bunch of Ryobi 18v tools. The reciprocal saw is one of the best of those - wonderful for doing pruning and branch trimming as well as other sawing. And I bought an awesome 21V battery operated leaf blower this spring. Came with an extra battery for $85 and it is super powerful.
Month 34 of the long, long introduction and for the first time I have had a full day of TWO cats in the living room at the same time. Willow has apparently decided she is tired of hiding/sleeping in the closet and spent the whole day sleeping under the end table. Lola went up to her once, got...
I started babysitting when I was 14 and usually did it every weekend and some days after school. Then when I was 16 I got a job as an A&W carhop for the summer.
I have a small snowblower that operates on two 24V batteries. It does okay but lighter snows but struggles with heavier. I have considered a battery lawnmower but my yard is pretty big. I wouldn’t want to have to buy another set just to get the whole lawn done.
I was out cleaning out the yard today and when I got to the one of the bird baths, the absolute grossest thing. Not just the furry bits of flesh but the entire lower body half of some furry little creature - baby bunny or baby squirrel. Darn crows.
I am guilty of just not playing with the air fryer function of my new range. I have only tried it a few time and I am just not seeing much difference between baking at a higher temp and air frying.
Picked up new downspout and sump pump extension pipes this morning and put them on. Messy work because both are sitting in mud and you have to fiddle with them to get the old ones off and the new ones on. I was going to also reconnect the front and back hoses but felt like I just needed to...
Willow is just a bundle of fears. She is terrified if I walk too quickly thru the house, if I standing in the same room as her while she eats, if I offer her a treat or food any time except at her usual eating times, if I hold out my hand to to her. Of course, she is terrified of the broom and...
Mostly outdoors work. Found a matching paint color for the shed, picked up the last of the branches and sticks in the yard and mowed my side yard. Went to pick up an Amazon package and found four scratch offs in the parking lot - $15 in winners collected.
Fun little positive this morning. I was crossing a parking lot and on the ground were four scratch off tickets, clearly un scratched. Picked them up, brought them home and scratched them off. Three of the four were small winners totaling $15.
