I just wanted to let you all know that Bartholomew was adopted 2 weeks ago by the same lady who adopted Boots. He is doing well! Also, I had him tested for Bartonella and it came back as a strong positive, so that's what caused the diarrhea! He's on Azithromycin now, and hopefully getting better...
There is definitely a mouse problem in the area which I find somewhat comical since there is such a large feral cat population. Is there a taurine supplement that I could add to their food? I know that the majority of the food that comes back to the store is higher end food because I am in there...
I definitely intend to get them fixed. I'm working on getting help, I heard that a tnr group was starting here. And am working on getting in contact with them.
I forgot to mention that my best estimate for the colony size is at least 20. It's near a home that just got raided that had 98 cats, 14 dead before taken, the rest are probably dead now for having uri's and/or being "feral". Apparently, the couple who was renting the house gathered up the...
Hey, I was wondering your opinions on feeding ferals dog food? I know that it isn't ideal, but am wondering if it could cause any harm. Here's the situation. Last October I found a feral cat colony by my fiance's house that is not being managed at all. One of the cats is fixed, and he's not...
Just to let everyone know, Merlin's internet got shut off. Merlin (the cat) should be going home tomorrow. They are taking him off iv fluids and such tonight to see how he does. Hopefully everything goes well!
I read on a couple of sites that clicker training (like what you use with dogs) works wonders on ferals. I'm curious if anyone has tried using this technique to work with feral cats before and perhaps your opinions on it.

I know that you probably will decline this offer, but I recently got a new bottle of Clindamycin compounded for one of my grandma's cats. Long story short, she doesn't have toxoplasmosis and I don't need it. It expires in April some time, but is enough for at least 1 month. It was about $50...
Here's an update on Merlin.
He's currently at Anderson Animal Hospital, located in Anderson, MO. He was initially fairly unresponsive, hypothermic, and breathing heavy, etc. They catheterized him, got him on IV fluids, and did some bloodwork. His levels are off the chart from what I gathered...
Thank you :) I'm glad some people think I'm not too crazy. I'll actually be 22 on the 25th, but I could easily pass for 15. I'm going to graduate in May (hopefully) with a Mechanical Engineering degree, though I may go back for a veterinary degree. With Sabin's ordeal, you really had to have...
It claims to kill tapeworms caused by fleas, which is definitely the worm I'm dealing with. Despite my misleading title, these are all indoor cats that I can generally handle (with the exception of one or two). I was just curious as to other worming options for tapeworms, and if the tapeworm...
I was wondering if anyone has used Fido's Closasole before? I got some, and found it to definitely be effective against roundworms (the day after worming some older kittens, dozens of roundworms were found in their feces), but am not sure about tapeworms. To try to get a better idea, I did a bit...
It's been awhile. I just thought I would let you know that Old Man Bootsies was adopted in January. I still have Mr. Bartholomew, and he has turned into such a wonderful cat. He went to his first Meet and Greet last month and did surprisingly well. He let people pet him and just couldn't get...
