Not certain, but my understanding was that her immune response was lower on the medicine, and that would leave her more susceptible to things like salmonella etc. Its also why she doesn't get vaccinated like a regular kitty anymore, and can't be boarded like a regular kitty without precautions...
Thank you so much!
Of those, and knowing what we've tried, and what hasn't worked, the Innova Evo or the Orijen look like good candidates. We're trying to avoid chicken ingredients and the "typical" grains...so far peas had been okay. She had done well on fish proteins so far as well. I know...
My vet does understand raw - her concern with our cat is since she is not getting vaccinated with her condition, that the raw would leave her more susceptible to salmonella and other food borne illnesses. Plus, she didnt like the low protein levels in the Natures' Variety Instinct Rabbit, which...
That the vet and I spent and hour discussing the 3 foods, looking at ingredients, etc. and she said either try the basics OR stay on the salmon, BUT that perhaps she could have developed a resistance to the salmon. So...have discussed with the vet. I also did see Blue Basics mentioned on another...

Thanks guys. Just left a message to talk to the vet, and I already have an appt, for both the cat and dog to go in on Jan 17th anyhow. Not sure what vet will think about raw diet, but they know how involved I am in the animal's care so it will be interesting discussion I'm sure.
Kittys - I do...
Hi - new here. We have a kitty who has allergies to many things including plastic but also many foods, byproducts and grains. She is also on a medication that suppresses her immune response to contain the ulcers and that has worked well for several years in conjunction with the Blue Buffalo...
