Thanks everyone for your repiles. This forum is so great.
I spoke with my vet, and he said to monitor it over the next few weeks, and if it worsens to bring him in. Like I said, he is showing zero signs of pain, so i guess i'll wait and see.
I'll keep everyone updated.
I have just noticed in the last week or so that 2 Dope's paw pads seem to be peeling. They look pretty normal otherwise. No discoloration or anything that resembles an infection. He is an indoor cat.
He is fairly new to the house, maybe 1 1/2 months. I have two other cats who have never had...
I came home last night and found a blood stain about the size of a quarter on the carpet. there were some other small drops around it, and about 6 inches from this area there were another few light drops.
I live alone with 2 cats, and i know that the blood was not from me. One cat is male and...
A friend just gave me a new toy for the two kitties. It is a catnip toy. When i came home, i forgot it was in my purse and miss kitty had her face inside digging through all my stuff!! so i took the toy out and her and spike cannot get enough of it. they have never reacted to catnip or any...
I was looking at Spike's back claws today and noticed that on the underside, there seems to be a little crevis. He has alot of (what looks like) dirt under there. I guess it would be kind of like having dirt under your own nails.
I'm just wondering if this is something to be concerned...
Cool! I'm glad others have good things to say about it.
JennyJen--you are right, it is a bit expensive, but personally, i'd rather sacrifice what I buy for myself to give the best I can to my cats! Even if it means i eat Ramen for a few days
I just began feeding my cats Wellness. I noticed that no one who replied in this thread feeds their cats that brand.
Miss Kitty does not like it, but will eat it if I don't put out anything else. And Spike seems like he's starting to enjoy it.
Anyone else ever try this food????? Any...
I have a female cat that I rescued off the street. I've had her for about 6-7 months. She does not really like being touched, but lately she has been jumping up on the couch with me, and bumping her head into my arms and legs. She lets me pet her head and rub her cheeks and chin, and she...
Thanks for all of the input. I think I am going to try to sleep over there a night or two a week. But then I feel bad for my own kitties, cause they will be home alone! I'm sure Hermes will be fine...I'll just spend as much time with him as I can.
Unfortunately, I know bringing this cat into my apartment would be disasterous. My two do not even like each other, there is no way either would accept a new one.
Thank you for your reply.
A few times a year, one of my neighbors has me come over to feed her cat (Hermes) when they go on vacation. Usually it is only for a week or so, and I go over twice a day to feed him. I also try to spend at least 1/2 hour with Hermes playing with him and petting him.
My neighbor has asked me...
I've got a 3 year old (approx.) cat, Miss Kitty. I found her as a stray about 5 months ago with a broken hip. I got her all fixed up at the vet, and I was not going to keep her...but well...she's still with me and i cant give her up.
Anyway....all day she walks around the house rubbing her...
How often should you get a new litter box. I mean actually throw away the box and buy a new one. I scrub it once a week, but there are some stains on the plastic that do not come out. I'm wondering if there is bacteria that I cannot clean.
I've had this box for 2 years, and 2 cats use it...
The exact same thing happens to Miss Kitty. I was always a bit curious about it, but never thought it was something to worry about. but now i'm a bit nervous! keep us posted if anyone get any more info.
thanks
Are you kidding me? Is this a joke? Sorry if I sound mean, but you sound ridiculous! Anyone who would think that feeding their cat less to make them catch bugs, needs to be a bit more educated.
