I have a FIV + boy who lives with 2 other males. They have lived together now for 5 years. There has never been a problem other than some swatting issues.
I have found that I can't feed a grain free diet at home with the boys either. I just end up having too many urinary issues.
I am feeding EVO to my boy who is diabetic though and so far so good there.
Does anyone have an opinion on the Natures Variety Prarie diets?
This little thing doesn't have her winter coat. I was more worried about her spay incision and being released. Right now she's in a very large dog crate with her cat carrier inside it. A big blanket over it and I have a small heater for her. Shes very undernourished but is eating. I am...
This is the reason I gave my opinion of stress induced licking per what the OP has stated. I asked about making sure its a tumor verses a fat pad because I've known some to make that mistake.. In no way did I state not to take the advice of a vet professional and also mentioned about getting...
We trapped a female torti today. Shes'd been hanging around for about 2 weeks. Took her up to work and sedated her for a spay. We did Felv/FIV/HW all neg, vaccines, applied profeder and took an xrayof her leg. She has a broken toe To make matters worse she only weighs 2.3# but is probably...
One of my reasons for joining this forum was to hopefully find forever homes for 3 kittens. I am located in Berks county, PA. My husband and I are willing to travel or get a railroad going to get these guys adopted.
Short summary: Stray cat mom had kittens. I had been doing stakeouts trying...
I work in a vets office and if your not getting a good vibe then definately get a
2nd opinion. It does not sound like a mammary tumor to me but I cant see the cat. It sounds like stress/allergies to me.
Do you feel a hard lum pat the glands or is it the fat pad the vet is feeling thinking...
I personally like the advantage for fleas only. If there are ticks thats where I used the frontline.
On a side note, I don't use the frontline on any white animals as I have had 2 cats with reactions to it.
I have one, Lil T< who drinks with his paws. He's constantly playing in the fountain or bowl. Personally, I think he just likes to make a sloppin mess for momma to clean up!
Some vets offer food allergy testing to determine the exact allergies. We did it for our dog who IS allergic to both peas and flaxseed. Unfortunetly flax is almost every food out there nowadays.
I have 1 cat who is allergic to beef. He was always getting scabby, pink ears, itching chin...
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!
All my cats are strictly indoors. The Momma cat with kittens will be released once shes spayed because I don't think she will calm enough to be adopted out. It hard to find anyone willing to take cats right now. At least thats how it seems in my area.
Hi!
My name is Pam and I am a cataholic!
We have 12 cats at home and another 7 at work. And a family of mom and 3 babies to be adopted out. We also have a mini schnauzer and 5 chinchillas.
I can't wait to meet some cat people!
