Thank you both for your comments!
Took her off everything and she is now on just raw re-hydrated Primal (venison, rabbit) and Stella & Cheweys (rabbit, salmon/cod). Got some Primal pork yesterday and will also try that. I actually left out 4 little pieces of the Stella's rabbitt dry overnight...
Hi, All!
My 8 year old kitty has been vomiting quite a bit since the Fall. Stools are fine. Acting completely normal. No weight losss.
Complete blood workup by vet showed nothing. No pattern to the vomiting. Have noticed more fur in the vomit, though. About 3 times a week. I've been tracking...
This is an old thread, but just wanted to ask if anyone had any recent feedback on this product? It just popped up on my Facebook feed and I had never heard of it before.
If it turns out not to be ear mites, it could be a grain allergy.
When we brought our new kitty home a few years ago, she had the exact same thing. Scratching at one ear, and a sneeze or two every once in a while.( She had a clean bill of health otherwise). The rescue had recommended some dry...
There are as many opinions and cat foods out there, for sure -- from cat owners and the cat medical community as well!
Orijen is a fantastic dry food and I use it as well (chicken formula). I leave 1/4 cup out overnight a few days a week (or if our schedules may be outside our usual norm for...
Ok - my kitty actually made a scrunched up face at the Honest Kitchen food, LOL!!! The only other time I have seen that is when I tried giving her food with duck in it!
She must be eating enough because her weight (and everything else) is good. Ah, cats!
Thank you! I definitely will call them. To be safe, I left it out for 1/2 hour this afternoon.
Interesting on not liking the other stuff! I will try that one tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have better luck there! :)
Hi All -
Tried this today: Stella & Chewy's "Chick, Chick, Chicken" freeze dried food. So far, so good (as it is with anything 'new' I put down). We'll see if it stands the old time test, LOL!! One thing though that I didn't see on their website: How long can I safely leave this food out when...
I thought long and hard about raw. My biggest fear there is the higher risk of intestinal parasites. I know this is a very subjective subject, laymen and vet alike, and one I will keep reading up on for sure. I'm not convinced just yet.
Thanks again for all the wonderful advice! Sincerely...
Thanks so much to you both!
I had read that link previously about cat food until my eyes glazed over, LOL! Just re-read it again, for hours and hours! The only thing that was difficult to understand in that pdf spreadsheet for me were what the 'optimal' levels in each category actually were. I...
Hi Everyone -
My 2 year old had recently started to eat less and less of her Wellness cans over the past three weeks (chicken, turkey, chicken/beef). Still eats her Orijin dry (this one: http://www.orijen.ca/orijen/products/catkittenIngredients.aspx ) which is left for her to free-feed (only...
So far so good with trying new food! She'll happily try anything I put down for her - finishing about a quarter of the small sized can, but isn't cleaning her plate at all. Do you think she should be? I'm hoping this just means that I haven't found her absolute favorite food yet. Everything else...
Thanks, everyone, for the great advice! I'm going out today to get some more to add to the rotation! Hopefully she'll like them a bit better than just the plain old chicken, LOL!!! :)
Hi Everyone!
I just adopted a sweet little ~2 year old kitty! She is an absolute doll (and apparently ate quite well prior to coming to us, since she's a little full-figured, LOL!).
She passed her vet check and organ/blood test panels with flying colors. Vet would like her to drop about 1.5...
Hi Everyone -
Any tips or tricks to getting liquid medicine (via a syringe) actually into a cat's mouth and having them swallow, LOL!?
The vet thought it would be easier to have the liquid than a pill, but now I"m not so sure!
This is day 2 (of 7 that we'll have to do) where I have gotten...
Hi - I'm going through the same thing.
I haven't heard about using scent - interesting idea. The only thing I'd be worried about is making sure they can't lick it off of anything.
My kitty is adjusting well, but we do get the occasional wall/door bump. I wonder if putting some (cat safe)...
