    Nature's Variety Instinct Dry

Mine didn't like the canned - which is surprising, because they both loove canned food. Hmmm... (I fed Instinct to my dogs once... it was NOT pretty....)

Keeping dogs out while letting cats come and go

Can you crate them when you're not watching them? Dogs will rarely soil their sleeping space, and a crate (of the proper size) is a great housetraining aid. Sorry, I have no suggestions for the baby gate - sounds like it might be difficult to find one that works for the cats *and* the dogs.

    Jacques & Pierre... Today

...ashamed that he got caught, perhaps?

    Jacques & Pierre... Today

LOL if I lived near you, I'd *love* to come take photos of your crew! Cat photography is a bit... different... than dog photography. But I'm loving it!

    Jacques & Pierre... Today

Pierre says, "I think I like hiding in the bathtub..." Jacques practices his 'defiant' look... "HELB! HE IZ KILLIG BE..." Pierre looks ashamed for his brother-killing attempt... (Pierre in front, Jacques in back) Pierre Pierre again Jacques does not approve. Neat light effect...

    What dry food??

If Pro Plan is the best you've got in your area (and it sounds like it is) - I'd stick with the Pro Plan. We feed our cats Taste of the Wild, but as a longtime supporter of Pro Plan (that's what the dogs eat - even after trying "better" foods) I have to say that it's a good enough food and it...

Adopter wants to declaw - should I deny or approve?

I never even considered getting Jacques & Pierre declawed, even though I grew up with declawed cats. It's been my experience that without their claws, cats are more likely to use their teeth - and I'd rather be scratched than bitten ANY day. And you know, they dont' scratch the furniture...

    If You Like Corgis...

Hopefully she's everything I'm wanting, and more! She's got a very nice pedigree - parents are both very nice champions, and her grandsires are Ch. Hum'nbird Keepn Up'Pearances (top winning Pembroke of all time) and Ch. Caralon's Casper At Gaylord ROMX (top producing Pembroke of all time). The...

    Wild for TOTW!

Mine eat TOTW as well - they LOVE it. Of course, it only comprises half of their diet since they're on 50% dry 50% wet, but we're still very happy with it.

    Random kitten photos

Good eye! They are brothers.... they and their buff brother and grey tabby sister were dumped at the shelter when they were only a week old.

    If You Like Corgis...

.... put up your Cuteness Shields now! The 2nd one from the top will most likely be mine, if the puppy evals stay consistent over then next 8 weeks.

    Introducing the dogs....

Thank you. Looking back I realized I said Ronin was old, but never shared his age, LOL.... he's seven.

    As Promised...

Well, when they have their collars on..... Pierre is in red, and Jacques is in blue. Until, of course, they get their Paco Collars when they grow up... then Pierre will be in black, and Jacques will be in tan. When they don't have their collars on... it gets interesting. Pierre is thinner...

    As Promised...

Jacques and Pierre! Pierre: "Dis toy not just fer dogs!" And Jacques... "Uhhh.... I think Pierre went THAT way..." (yes, they look a bit ratty - they get groomed in the evening, so they're a bit scraggly right now. )

    Introducing the dogs....

Next is Kaylee - she'll be 2 years old in February, and we're hoping to finish her AKC Championship this year. She's a BIS winning UKC Champion, so we still have fun in UKC since it helps us get Top Ten points. Kaylee is a tart - she's fiery, sassy, and an all-around PIA... but the best...

    Introducing the dogs....

Bear with me, I've got waaay too many photos of them! We'll start with the oldest - Ronin. Ronin is a semi-retired show dog... we've brought him back out now that UKC offers Altered Championships. He's a crazy SOB, but we love him and hope he keeps acting like an Energizer bunny. People are...

    Random kitten photos

Aww thanks everyone! I'll try to get more photos of the boys (we call them the JPs) today - I'm snowed in, so no work today! Thank you! I do a bit of photography on the side - mostly dogs though. I need to brush up on my cat photography skills! Awww... I'll be sure to tell them you said they...

    Random kitten photos

I apologize, usually I'm a photo fanatic.... but during the Iowa winters there is very little sunlight when I'm home! I won't use a flash unless I absolutely have to, so this is all I've got of the two new kittens... Jacques says, "ummmm.... HI!" Jacques' death stare on his brother Pierre...

    Coat regrowth?

The two kittens I adopted a few weeks ago are doing really well. I do have a question on their coats though. They are longhaired, and came home with dull, brittle, flat "shelter coats" - on a few weeks of good food, their legs and ruffs (and shoulders) are growing full and fluffy - not ratty...
