I know it was the Feline Coronavirus ELISA test they did. He is jumping up and down from areas and when he is standing up or sitting you don't see that much of a belly but you do when he crouches. His doesn't have the greatest appetite but he wants food. I do have him on Baytri right now so...
Well the titer test came back positive for FIP but I am not giving up hope, some have said that it could be pancreatitis since the The ELIS test isn't always correct.
Hi all!
I am a concerned mom right now, by vet suspects FIP in my 11 year old boy. He has fluid build up in his belly and when they took some of the fluid it was yellow. He doesn't have a fever and is alert and I am going to put his blood work here. Can it be told by the blood work what the...
Well he is done with his dosage and in reality all I can say is that it seemed to just knock him out, so not sure if the benefit was for him to relax or what
Wow that is pretty interesting! I am hoping that this will turn into a great tool to help control pain in cats with FLUTD. The dosage does seem pretty high though for a cat.
Well Macy got the Convenia shot but then the vet gave me the cerenia and said it was for swelling and inflammation in his bladder. I thought the dosage was awful high too and I can' find anything online about it.
So does anyone have experience with Cerenia being used for bladder issues? Macy is 12lbs and the vet prescribed 16 mg for 4 days to reduce the inflammation. I know this is prescribed for dogs so not sure about this at all.
I discovered that as long as I don't put the omega three stuff into Macys food he is eating the wet again, so I am holding off on it until I am confident that he is stable then might try again.
I am so glad that Sonny is enjoying his visit with the kittens, but he has to come home soon, dad is...
No he isn't going back and forth to the box, probably twice a day, and no licking, but they just seem smaller to me, so maybe just my paranoia kicking in...he is about 13lbs so the golf ball size is still good?
Just an update, Macy is doing better, playing eating and drinking and I am continuing to push water on him. The only concern I have is that his pee balls are a bit small, the size of or a bit bigger than a golf ball. Is that an ok size you think?
