De had hers under the bed and I did try moving them at about 3 weeks when I couldn't bare the carpet anymore but before I could turn the vacuum on she brought them back! So we ended up not doing it until the kittens were out and about, then we shut them out of the room we were cleaning.
As far...
Took them all to the vets this morning, vet says no problem he's just running around a lot and tiring himself out.
De's stitches are healing nicely having just been spayed and the 2 kittens we have left are fine but eating us out of house and home lol.
De's kittens are 9 weeks old now, 2 are already rehomed but we still have 2 with us. The little ginger male runs around all the time, and we often find him panting with his mouth open. We're taking him to the vets tomorrow..just wanted to know your thoughts on it!

Thanks, I was thinking about securing her and the box in the boot (it's a hatchback), and giving her the run of the boot (it's about the same size as a larrge crate).
Think we're going to have to sedate Jasper though, he's truly an awful traveller (we'll barely get out of the drive way before...
For De there were three clear stages before she went into labour. I was worried I wouldn't know when, but it was pretty obvious. There was a change in her shape, her behaviour and how she moved about a week before hand.
She felt very warm and was loads more affectionate than usual for a couple...
At the end of the month we're moving house and the kittens are 5 weeks still too young to go to homes yet (the move's happened very suddenly, obviously I wouldn't have planned to move with a litter of kittens so young!) The problem is De gets crazy every time we move the box even a few inches...
De's kittens are three weeks old on monday, and I've noticed that when they're playing, their claws keep getting stuck in each other, our clothes, their bedding etc.
When should we be starting to trim their nails? I got really worried the other day as one of them had her claw stuck near the...
She might have mastitis if there breasts are full but nothing is coming. Keep an eye out for signs of infection. Other than that I dont know what to suggest, was she still in active labour when you were expecting her to clean the kittens? A few of the sites I looked at when researching ready for...
I' m not an expert or anything, but my cat De just had kittens and because it was my first litter I did loads of research so I'd know what to expect. There is loads of info on the internet, but below is some stuff I found/would have found useful!
First she will need somewhere to nest, make sure...
Jasper does that sometimes, the vet said it was just hairballs (he makes a loud honking noise at the same time and his chest heaves), is it a long or a short haired cat?
Jasper is allergic to most chemical flea treatments. He seems ok with the johnsons flea tablets but they are a cure not a prevention. Does any one have any suggestions for natural alternatives to discourage fleas? My vet told me garlic and tea tree but someone on here has told me tea tree is...
Mine are both totally different. I never saw Jasper drink standing water except bits that had collected in the garden or the toilet bowl, every morning he would eat his breakfast then jump up on the kitchen sink and start yowling at me to turn the tap on! He did that for years until Delilah came...
Hehe that sounds familiar...jasper was very active when he was younger hence the stepping on him all the time, but now he sleeps all day and goes out all night (it's like having a teenager lol). You get used to never picking your feet up too high and treading lightly lol.
I don't know about motorized, I don't like them as most say on the packet that supervision is required due to the small parts, but you can get toys that you hide food in and it occupies the cat whilst trying to get it out. I volunteer at a rescue centre and we use them quite a lot with the...
Goodness I've been using it for years, I was advised to by my vet since jasper is quite delicate and doesn't do well with most flea meds (he drools a lot whatever I put on)!!
Thanks for that I've binned the lot! xxx
Does anyone have any suggestions as to other natural deterants for fleas?
Thanks guys that puts my mind at rest a little bit, will just have to wait and see :-) otherwise he is much more cuddly than normal, usually he stays out of our way during the day but since the kittens have arrived he never leaves my side, which is nice :-)
OMG!!! So glad you are all ok and fingers crossed for the babies! I cried (I'm blaming it on hormones lol) when I got to the bit about Cali and Gaurdian under the bed...so glad they're both ok.
What an amazing job Cali and Gaurdian did, very impressive!! And a big pat on the back to the fireman...
