Coral stated scratching at the bottom of the closet 2 hours before she gave birth to the 1st one. She didn't meow or pant. She stopped eating only a few hours before too. I definatly noticed her being very lazy the night before.
He is very tame, so I'll check. I really have a feeling it was him. He's been standing at our back door wanting in in the worst way. It's like he knows. We're definatly keeping Coral away from him till she's spayed. Just in case.
One that is adopted out is called Simba, I'll figure out which one when they decide. The other 4 are just named by color right now. I love them all so much! I don't know how I'll part with them when the day comes.
I'm so happy for you. I'm impressed by your patience and it didn't seem like you freaked out about much. Amazing job you and Ali did. The kittens are all perfect and look big and healthy. Congratulations!!!
It sounds like you sacrificed a lot for a long time for that little one. That's very sweet. The kittens were very quiet last night. They only meow when Coral gets up to go potty and eat, but she was pretty good about getting back to them quickly.
Wow, what a tiring process for the two of you. I hope you got some rest, as did she, and the she' ready to be done and get that last one out! Good luck.
Isn't it amazing even getting to touch them. Such a treat! I think the fights over the nipples are so cute. Our two biggest ones had a major fight today and they're only 18 hours old. I couldn't believe it!
We do have one other all black cat in the neighborhood, but I haven't seen him in a very long time. That's a good point about the de-clawing and the neutering. I actually didn't even know he was de-clawed when I decided to adopt him. I wouldn't do it myself though. My family de-clawed a cat...
I'll give him peek. He was rescued the day he was supposed to be put to sleep, but he never worked as an indoor cat. I didn't know what to do because he was already declawed when we got him, so I was scared to even let him out during the day. I tried it, and he didn't leave the yard. We...
That an interesting little thing that I'm sure most people wouldn't even think about. We got Sylvester a few years ago and they said he was 8 years old then. So he's 10 or 11 and a very sweet cat. I was thinking of checking if he was neutered, but I don't know what to look for .
Ok, good to know. It was so cute how she moved the back this morning! I guess it will be part of our daily ritual. I'll help her move them back tomorrow morning, since I'm the one causing it. What a great kitty she's been through all of this.
I wish I wasn't such a light sleeper. Those...
Your plan sounds great. Yeah, it's good you have heard of that happening because when Coral did that I really freaked out. They vets all want to make money, so they wanted us to rush in...EMERGENCY, was the word they all used, except for our trusted vet. It's always good to know of a good vet...
Calling the vet is always a good idea, but mine said that if she's not contracting, then it's okay. They said that if she's straining and looks to be in pain, then it's an emergency. The best thing to do it just leave her alone with the lights off and see what happens. I kept hearing 24...
It's worth a try checking to see if there's any discharge, but we missed it all together if she had any. The only remarkable thing was her being very lazy and laying in places she wouldn't normally lay, only because she was too tired to make the effort to go somewhere else. Good luck. Soon...
