Ok... so his pH level is now around 5.5ish... so its gone down a lot, but we dont want the other types of crystals. His vet game him Royal Canine S/O.... can someone confirm for me if this is a maintenance food, like Hills C/D, or is it a short term food, like Hills S/D?

the problem with the medication is that even tho its only $300, it will likely need to be purchased a few times... Which will add up. Plus, the vet would want to see him every 2 weeks, which is another $150 or so each time... i also read that the chance it gets better with medication is lower...
