Hi there! It's been a while since I've been on here, and Iâ€8482m not sure where this should be (please move if needed), but I'll give it a go!
Jake (RIP) began his life on the streets in Oct 2000, and we lost him to those same streets in Jan 2008.
We adopted a German Shepherd pup in Feb 2008...
Does anyone from Australia know if Vivace Somalis are still breeding? I've checked and rechecked their website and they haven't update at least since October last year. I thought they might have just been too busy to update the page, but now I'm not so sure.
I really would like to get my first...
So, I've been reading about so-called "water-loving" breeds, and the bengal and turkish angora/van are at the top of the list. Do they really like water or is it just a myth?
Does anyone own a bengal or angora, with situations for/against the argument?? I'd love to hear them!
You gotta hate working in retail...especially when dealing with the public at rush hour in 40 degrees celcius! Oh! And scrubbing urinals at 10:30 at night didn't go down too well!
Just uploaded some recent pictures!
The LAST time his ears were ever floppy!
Because we're on stage 3 watering restrictions at the moment, we have from 7 - 9pm two nights a week to do our watering. Last night, we used all our watering hours on HIM!
MY ball...will you throw it for me?
Now...
Here is little Zachariah - the newest canine member of the household - at 8.5 weeks old. He's a Black Sable German Shepherd and a mischievious little scamp even at this age!
Here he is again at 11 weeks old. Dad was paving and he'd been helping him spread the sand around!
And showing off...
Our German Shepherds all LOVED the cats - even when one was trying to claw its nose off, he'd still think it was a game of chasy and run around like a mad thing! The girls especially loved it when a rescue kitten came home! They'd snuggle it and sleep with it. One even tried to nurse the 6 week...
Junior used to "toy" with me about the tummy issue. He'd let me pet it for about 30 second, purring like mad and shifting so I'd get the tickle spots, and then his eyes would snap open and a michievious grin would plaster his face.
If I didn't get my hand out of the way quick-smart, it would...
I've checked out the website and I'm quite impressed. She has studs and queens with quite a few well known Somali Breeders and vice versa, as well as imported bloodlines. Beauuuutiful silvers!
*UPDATE*
Just found out that the breeder I'd originally been hoping on has left the game. But she reccommended this website to me - is this this the SA breeder you were talking about?

I think that she did have a website once, but it was a freeweb service and she ran out of bandwidth. Last time I checked she was working on setting up a proper one.
Btw, I may decide to learn how to show once I've got her, but it all depends on the situation I may or may not be in next year...
