Opps sorry I forgot to come and update.
The vet felt around and said that Amadeus bowels were 'thick' which could be a sign of to much bacteria (bad bacterial) or something else.
He prescribed 2 medications and sent a stool sample off to be tested which came back with nothing of concern...
There was an emergency right when the office opened (dog had to be PTS) but that was 30 minutes before our appointment.
We arrived 10 minutes early and were told it would only be a few minutes and almost an hour later we were still sitting there. If they would have told us they were running...
Our appointment on Thursday was canceled since the vet couldn't keep it and today we didn't even get to see the vet after sitting there for almost an hour, we had another appointment we needed to be at. They could have told us they were running behind so we didn't have to stress Amadeus for so...
Thanks! I think I will write everything down so I don't forget to ask the vet.
He is looking better but he is still having a runny eye and runny poop and ended up going on the floor a little big today which he promptly tried to cover up.
I hope we can figure out whats going on with my kitty.
Thank you very much for all the help and information.
I have sent an email to the vets office for an appointment on either the 9th or 10th and I will bring along the information you have provided and discuss treatment options to keep my Amadeus healthy and happy.
Thanks again.
I'll inform my mother and have her make the appointment ASAP.
He has also been having diarrhea and pooping often. At first I thought it was the food, so I recently changed it (slowly) but it doesn't seem to be helping.
He eats and drinks etc... all the normal cat stuff.
Thank you for your suggestions.
I am not sure what type of virus it is all I know is it cause URI and can remain dormant(his first cold came from the shelter). He has not been tested for anything else.
Thanks. I'll check into it.
Looking closely at the sore, I think the hair is gone. I am thinking maybe he wiped his eye and the crust ripped the hair out. It seems to be clearing up well, though. I'll just keep cleaning it and I will have my mother make the appointment.
Thanks, I'll look into it. I will have to make an appointment with the vet (he has to go for another issue anyways) and see if I can get what your recommended.
Do you by any chance know what the ointment is called, for his eye? This is what it looked like a few days ago, its gotten better but...
Amadeus was microchiped at the shelter when he got fixed.
I personally think its a good idea for my situation because Amadeus like to come outside and a harness and leash to hang out with the dogs and if he ever managed to disappear I like knowing that he has some sort of identification that...
I ALWAYS bring Amadeus to the vet in his carrier. Its just safer and easier, wouldn't want him jumping out of my arms and getting hit by a car, it also protects him from other animals while in the clinic.
He also wears a harness and a leash at the same time for extra safety and so it is easy to...
