    Yay (

Harley enjoying the sunshine on my living room floor a few days ago. She's so hard to get good photos of, but I'm proud of this one.

    Catnap

I caught Harley snoring away in one of my chairs....

Just some pics of Miss Harley.

I finally got some batteries for my new camera....so of course I've been chasing Harley all over the house with it. Lounging around.... What is that?! And now, for her close-up. I wish this would have come out better, but I still like the way the color of her eyes came out.

Something I never thought I'd see!

Yesterday, Harley decided for some reason she was going to let my son get close to her. Usually, this doesn't happen; he runs after her to try to be her friend, and she darts under the furniture. Needless to say, my poor son gets frustrated. He'll only be 4 next month and doesn't quite yet...

    Another of Miss Harley.

I made myself nuts looking all over my apartment this morning for Harley....She was meowing to get my attention, but wouldn't come out of wherever she was. She was hiding under one of my dining room chairs...with her very favorite fuzzy mouse. Apparently I wasn't aware that it was playtime.

    Harley's early Xmas present.

I wandered into PetSmart today to get Harley a few things for Xmas....of course, I couldn't resist giving her the TurboScratcher that I got her a little bit early. :-) Wow, Mom, what is this thing? Oh wait...it smells like....catnip. Maybe I'll just rub my face on it a little bit. Just to...

    Harley takes a sunbath

I caught Harley basking in the sun on the couch this afternoon. She looked too cute not to harass her with the camera.

    Harley and her tail.

Harley has this thing about holding her tail in her paw when she's grooming herself, which I think is the cutest thing. Unfortunately, usually when I go to grab the camera, she's already done by the time I get it! I finally caught her last night, hanging onto her tail.

    Adjustment going normally?

I've had Harley since Saturday night, and I was just wondering if her adjustment to living here was going normally or not. Ever since she's come in the house, she's been hiding under my bed. She does come out to eat and use the litterbox, and she comes out to briefly explore the house. But she...

    Meet Harley, Part II.

I managed to get some much better pictures of Harley this afternoon. She decided she was going to be brave enough to explore the living room and the sunny spot on my couch. I'm so glad that she's starting to explore, even though she seems like she's really shy.

    Meet Harley!

Well, my hubby brought home the new kitty last night. She is so adorable! She's very tiny and petite, even though she's 4. And I notice she has extra toes on her front feet, which are so cute; it almost looks like she has snowshoes on. When she got here last night, she was shaking like a leaf...

    Goodbye Snickers.

Snickers somehow got out yesterday afternoon. By the time I got out the door to catch him, he had already made it to the corner....and was hit by a car. I scooped him up in my arms and took him straight to the emergency vet, but there just wasn't anything they could do for him. I mercifully had...

I gave Snickers his first bath. Yay!

I've been debating about giving Snickers a bath for days. I've been tired of looking at all the grime all over his feet from being a stray. I've also been mortified of the thought of a cat gone psycho in the bathtub! I don't know what got into me this afternoon, but I had a moment of Super...

    Best way to clip nails?

I took in Snickers about a week ago, and while he's let me brush him since then, his nails are just a menace. He won't let me handle his paws (unless he's "holding" my hand when he's sitting with me). I've been trying every evening when he's calm to try to just touch them, but he really isn't...

    Hey there!

Hey everyone! My name is Stacey, and I'm from upstate NY. I recently made friends with a stray cat that decided to show up out of nowhere and plop himself on my porch. After weeks of calling cat rescues, the SPCA, and running lots of ads trying to find his owner, I had no luck with any of them...
