Thank you for your replies. Looks like we will be taking a trip to the vet.
I'm an expat in China and I'm not so confident of the vets here but with teeth like that, it has to be done.
Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate some advice on a teeth problem my cat has.
During a routine medical check and immunization at the vets, I was told my two 7 year old Siamese had very dirty teeth that I needed to clean.
Stupid of me, I never knew I should clean their teeth.
Bought a pet...
Thank you for your reply missymotus.
If I bought a new blanket/quilt with no scent of bed wetting, would that be safe or would she still use it as her urinal?
I have female neutered Siamese who is roughly 1.5 years old.
Before her operation, she was regularly wetting my (not hers) bed. That stopped after the operation. In the last few months she has started wetting the bed again. She does this daily (when she can) and I'm regularly running out of...
Depends on how powerful the laser is and how you use it.
This is an excellent article on lasers and cats

Thanks for the feedback.
3 out of 3 say go for wet health wise so I'm now inclined to go against the vets advice and just stick to wet.
On a side note, my cats get fed dry when I'm away for a couple of days and getting them back to wet is not easy. They fast/starve/diet and sulk for a few days...
Wow....
Never realized that this method of getting a female cat spayed was that unusual. Don't know about spaying in the US or other western countries so can't make a comparison.
No idea why it was this involved. There were no complications, it is just routine standard practice. Possibly an...
For the first 6 months I fed my cats dried food.
I then came across this forum, read alot, asked around then switched to canned wet food.
Just finished a neutering operation for my female cat and the vet said that only wet canned food is bad and that i really should feed the cats a combination...
Couple of pics of a 1 year old female an a drip for anti inflammation medicine after an operation to fix her.
The procedure for the operation here is the cat has the actual operation that takes around 40 minutes
day 2 the drip for anti inflammation medicine
day 3 another drip, same
day 4...
Thank you for your replies carolinalima and Pami.
Came home last night to find the the bed wet AGAIN.
Off to the vet next week for this bed wetting furball
Have a female cat around one year old that has not being fixed.
IN roughly the last month this cat has a really bad habit of urinating on the doona/quilt.
A male cat from the same litter does not do this and the litter box is clean so don't know why she is doing this.
Is it normal behavior...
I'm thinking of giving two 9 month old siamese the occasional milk but did a search on this forum first.
Basically milk should be avoided or at the very least, given in moderation because most cats are lactose intolerant and are likely to get diarrhoea (sorry about the spelling).
So my...
No. I've checked the two largest stores in my area and there is only one type and flavor of canned food available. What is the problem with a fish canned food?
Do you know how many grams of canned food would give 20-25 calories?
Haha no I never cook for my self or for cats.
I have two 9 month old Siamese. A neutered big over weight male and a non neutered small trim female.
They were free fed dried food till 2 weeks ago. They were fed a combination of dried food and wet/canned food twice daily till one week ago. Now they are fed only canned food twice daily.
The...
Yup, after reading the link from Blaise and a few other articles, it looks like I need to switch from dry food to wet food.
That will be better for both health and weight loss.
Lucky I found this out when the cats are only 8 months old. Be kind of tragic to know after several years.
Thank you for all the advice and information I've received so far. There are at least two to three links that I need to seed down and read properly.
In the mean time the brand of food I'm feeding the two siamese is Purina cat chow for all ages.
I have two 8 month old Siamese cats, a brother and sister.
The male has been neutered and is very fat, looks like he's pregant. The female is very lean and healthy.
They used to be free fed, now I control how much they eat and plan on feeding them seperately. The problem is I don't know how...
