What happened to the petfooddirect web site?

Ick, only the main page is up. Looks like the domain got snipped or they are having severe problems.

Has my Cat finished delivering her kittens?

Smudge had a couple hour gap between her 4th kitten and her last two and while I thought she _might_ be done after 4 I could see lumps slowly moving closer to the birth canal with her contractions (which were mild compared to the contractions that expelled the babies). When she was done there...

So Excited---Goldy is having her babies!!

Smudge decided to cut the cord of the previous kitten she had given birth to (ex: taking care of number one after number two was born) so while there was a slight delay in her eating the placenta she did take care of everyone. She would lick at the just born kitten but would wait in their...

Got the Tidy cats Breeze and love it!

I got my Breeze from meijer for 33 dollars plus 10% off on top of a 5 dollar manufacturer's coupon (from a bag of Purina ONE who said feeding that didn't get me anything! (we're not on that anymore, though), AND there was a 10 dollar off by mail coupon stuck to the box. Score! This week meijer...

    Can stress cause diarrhea?

Absolutely. Just like humans also can express stress through diarrhea or constipation. Several weeks of diarrhea is really not a good sign though, your cat could be quite dehydrated. I would talk to your vet.

My cat pees in his sleep.

My first instinct and your edit is confirming this, probably. Is that he is doing the same thing my cat does - his anal glands are leaking. Our vet says he has never heard of a cat having any control over just leaking a bit but in our household we call it being "Rupertized" aka something our cat...

    Geriatric Litter Box Problem

When we inherited a late teens kitty with mobility problems and later bladder incontinence. We had to wash her hindquarters for the urine and we also wiped her with baby wipes, her privates were very inflamed because of constant urine touching them. We also put her bed, food, and her litter...

    Antibiotics for a nursing cat?

You need to take her to the vet to get properly diagnosed and what drugs she should have as not all antibiotics are created equal when it comes to nursing animals. Our last litter from our pregnant stray had to be basically weaned at 4 weeks because our good little baby was feeding and caring...

Getting rid of the pet 'smell' in a home.

I should also say: Get the anti-foaming... stuff when you buy your machine's shampoo. I've heard bad things if you don't use that stuff.

Getting rid of the pet 'smell' in a home.

Honestly I don't remember, it was more than a year ago but I remember not being like "OMG $$$"... although I was going in desperate which of course makes me more willing to spend money but I think I would remember if it was a huge amount. The rental was only for a period of 24 hours which kinda...

Getting rid of the pet 'smell' in a home.

I agree about the carpet shampooer. My old apartment was two bedrooms to a hall with bath and then another two and bath on the other side of the living room. After the other hall's toilet overflowed all the way into the living room carpet my dog started peeing on the carpet (which was new and...

    Premium Edge/Wellness/Prairie/Instinct ???

Thanks again, you're confirming what I kinda already figured from reading the bags and searching old posts on each of the foods. Your reading skills seem to be working just fine to help me!

    Premium Edge/Wellness/Prairie/Instinct ???

Thanks Sharky! I kinda figured you would recommend the grain-free if I could afford it but never hurts to ask. The other thing I've thought of is even though I will be particular about homes for Smudge's kittens (no "free kitten" ads here) I know a lot of people won't want to feed a food that...

    Hello! Few questions.

Hi, welcome! I am also a forum kitten who came here when looking for info on my latest adopted pregnant stray (she had 6 healthy kittens outta an estimated 4-7). My biggest advice is make up a birthing nest/box earlier rather than later so hopefully your queen will decide to give birth there...

    Smudge's Kittens, 5 weeks pics!

I have never seen a cat with markings like Fiona in my whole life. Her ONE gold spot right between the eyes, she has mottled legs and around her eyes with a few streaks of greyish and goldish on her black body. I'm sure she will go to someone who appreciates uniqueness!

    Premium Edge/Wellness/Prairie/Instinct ???

Another of the "which food?" threads, I'm sorry. T_T Right now I am feeding a nursing queen and her six 5 week old kittens. Currently mom eats a mix of Purina ONE kitten, Chicken Soup (Kitten), and Taste of the Wild (with the eventual goal of moving her off the ONE) and wet foods include...

    Smudge's Kittens, 5 weeks pics!

Smudge's babies on Sunday, which was their 5 week birthday. She was nursing them rather randomly in the middle of the floor and this is their post-nursing heap. Awwww. This is actually them at 4 weeks and 6 days, on Saturday. I just had to grab a shot since this was the first time I had a lot...
