Ha, we have a history of silly names for cats in this house. Hatrack and Woosie, my original two cats, had the best names I think
My friend used to have cats called Mouse and Playground - fantastic names - and her latest one is called Weeble!
Hi Wendy
Ooh blimey, I see what you mean!
I've always had a soft spot for black kittens with white noses/bibs/socks too... Noodles reminds me of one of my old cat Hatrack's kittens, Bean, from years and years ago - he was proper cute too
Thanks Naia
They have very distinctive personalities already... Noodles seems very independent and grown-up compared to Sushi, who is quite a mummy's boy (not that I'm complaining, mind!)
We're very lucky, as both boys are very outgoing and affectionate - they purr the minute I touch them...
Hello everyone!
Sorry I've been quiet for a couple of weeks - the new babies have been keeping me occupied!
My shins are a mass of scratches, as the little darlings like to use my legs as ladders, but of course they're so delightful I can put up with that!
They're both boys, Noodles and...
Thanks all of you for rooting for little Llinos.
She's home now... a bit woosy, but otherwise fine (and very happy to be home with mummy!)
My face is all covered in fur where I've kissed her so much
Thank you!
I've just spoken to the vet's receptionist, and it seems they found a large stem of grass down Llinos' throat, which they've now removed. I can go collect her in a couple of hours. Yay!
In some parts of the US, I gather there are bigger risks from predators (coyotes etc), is that correct?
We live in the Welsh countryside - we're in a small village but we're by the main road, which is the biggest risk to cats round here. In fact, my little Bibi was killed by a car only 2...
Thanks for the welcome
I'm a bit worried this morning - have just left Llinos with the vet as she seems to have something stuck in her throat (she's a keen hunter so I suspect it's a mouse bone or a bird bone). She's having to be sedated and as I signed the consent form, it struck me that...
Oh wow, where do I start... my pets have always been called anything but their real names!
Llinos gets called Little Lwyd, skippety lamb, silver princess, mooshie, pussy mooshkin (hence my screen name), kitten mittens, monkey pie, mooshie pie, poddyplop, poosh-mooshk...
the dog (Jack) gets...
Indeed!
I am SOOOO excited about getting the new kittens! Typically, our local shelter hasn't actually got any yet... the lady who runs it says that usually they're snowed under with kittens at this time of year, but they've not had any yet... so flipping typical - my daughter and I (she still...
I gather the majority of members are in the US so I don't know if you'll have an equivalent... but: when you buy laundry powder (detergent) in tablet form, it comes with a little net drawstring bag for putting the tablets in, before adding them to the wash.
I find these little bags make great...
Thank you for the warm welcome
This place is kitty paradise
Funny how they worm their way into your life and you just can't live without them... they really are our babies, aren't they?
Hello all
Just thought I'd introduce myself as the latest cat fanatic to join the forum!
I had my first cat when I was about 4 - we found him being chased by dogs on bonfire night, rescued him (he was a little kitten) and he lived with us for years until he got sick and my mum had him...
