    Problems with Friskies?

That sucks because some animals have sensitivities or allergies to certain ingredients.

    Problems with Friskies?

Interesting! Maybe that was the problem with mine, but the damage wasn't all that noticeable. They still might have had a bad seal. Thankfully, all my cats survived it, but they were really sick. I wonder if they track complaints, because that makes both you and I who have called to complain...

    Problems with Friskies?

Sailon, Wow! That's interesting that your cat experienced something similar. Probably the reason mine were so sick and Max wasn't was because she gagged and spit hers out. I think mine just went ahead and ate it in spite of whatever weird taste turned off Max. I know I'm never buying it again.

    Problems with Friskies?

Thank you Orange and White! I've started buying the 4 Health! It is the exact same price as Friskies, but the ingredients look WAY better! I think my problem is solved! Only issue is that the nearest Tractor Supply is not real close to me, so I will probably have to make a weekly trip where I...

    Problems with Friskies?

Thank you! It was a huge nightmare! Now I'm trying to settle on a way to feed them from now on. I just can't bring myself to go back to Friskies, even though it's possible I would never have another problem. I fed them Friskies without problems for a long time before that. I discovered in...

    Kirklands Natures Domain?

I also use the dog food already. I'm going to ask at my Costco if they plan to start stocking the cat food. Is it new? I'd love to try it. My Costco has lots of dry cat foods, but only Friskies and Fancy Feast in the canned. I've recently had a bad experience with Friskies, so I'm going to look...

Could Walmart actually make a good food?

I'm thinking of a sort of combination bought/homemade food, at least for now. Might end up going full homemade if I feel it's working ok.

    Problems with Friskies?

Oh I forgot. As I've been researching this I read that the Friskies brand has had problems in the past with cans not being heated to a high enough temperature during processing to kill all bacteria. Also a seal could have been done incorrectly during manufacturing and not necessarily happened...

    Problems with Friskies?

These cans expired in 2018. I do remember checking that. Some said 1/2018 and some said 12/18. They didn't have obvious dents. So I don't know. It probably wouldn't hurt to still feed them that, but now im skittish.

    Carrots and IBD

One of my dogs threw up just the potato from a food that had potatoes in it. Personally, I've been careful not to give her anything with potatoes in it since. I'd say the same, although you said he's eaten this carrot food before with no problems. Possibly, he has developed an intolerance for...

    Problems with Friskies?

A little over a week ago, all of my cats got really sick from some Friskies. All 8 cats got sick and were sick for about a week. The Friskies people said they haven't had any other reports like that, so I don't know how I got the bad can or cans.  Maybe one of the cans had a bad seal and...

Could Walmart actually make a good food?

I just discovered Pure Balance because all of my cats got really sick from some Friskies. All 8 cats got sick and were sick for about a week. The Friskies people said they haven't have any other reports like that, so I don't know how I got the bad can or cans.  Maybe one of the cans had a bad...

    Should I rehome some?

Thanks Mandy! I've been working on dropping things I don't need as well. I was doing sort of OK until I had all the pet health problems start, but I'm hoping that nothing unusual will happen for awhile. I think I can get on top of my bills in a couple months. I have been thinking about it and I...

    Should I rehome some?

Thank you. I feel like if I do have to rehome some ,it will be very hard because even when my friend mentions possibly taking one of my cats my heart sinks even though I know it would probably be a win-win situation. I would have one less mouth to feed, the cat would get more individual...

    Should I rehome some?

I have 8 cats, 4 dogs, a bird, 2 hermit crabs, and 3 fish. People tend to tell me I have too many animals, expecially since I don't make enough money to be able to do all the things I want to do for them, like keep up with vaccinations, flea and heartworm stuff,a really healthy diet, and lately...

BTW, I noticed in another thread someone mentioned charity organizations that help with vet bills. Who are they?

    Epilepsy

Thank you. I was afraid it was something like that. She has a particular kitchen chair that she goes to and the others generally don't bother her there, but if she goes up to certain cats, like her brother, for affection she gets hissed at. Thank goodness it's not all the cats, but it's sad to...

    Epilepsy

On Tuesday night my 4 year old cat, Belle, had a seizure. I took her to the emergency vet. Why do pet crises always happen at night or when regular vets are closed? Anyway, she didn't appear to have anything wrong with her but the fit, so it's probably epilepsy. My regular vet said we will...
