Resident kitty is NOT happy with new kitty.

I got a new, 10-week/11-week-old kitten a week ago from a coworker, and I was also waiting on another kitten from another coworker. They're adorable little things. I wanted to get 2 kittens so that my resident cat (Amadeus, a 2-or-3-year-old mellow, loving, lean, mean, 13-pound purring machine)...

    Bye bye, Pirate...

My baby left me for the rainbow bridge and to meet up with older brother angel Buster on 3/27/2008. It was a long, hard struggle through whatever illness or disease he had, and I wish I could have done more for him. He had a wonderful and happy life, though, and left us just shy of his six...

    Totally need vibes =[

So it looks like we're not too worried about the kitty litter - he hasn't been actively straining, so we're just monitoring him and making sure. But his new test results are pointing pretty well towards FIP, which I've been fighting tooth and nail. Dad & I are talking seriously about putting...

Should I put her down?? PLEASE HELP!

I've always been of the opinion that your cat will let you know when it's time, but I know that's not really helpful. :x *hugs* Good luck!!!

    Totally need vibes =[

Waiting on a call back from the vet's office to see if we should bring him in or not. I barely have to say anything anymore. "This is Lexie with Pirate..." "Oh, hey there! Do you need to speak to Dr. XXX?" Poor baby goes to the vet FAR too often. :[

    His tongue! His toooongue!

His name is Pirate for a reason... not only does he steal ALL my money towards his vet bills for some mysterious illness, he also steals everyone's heart. Every single person who sees him falls in love with his coloring, his markings, his sweet face.

    His tongue! His toooongue!

I adore this baby. He's sick, costs too much in vet bills, stresses me out daily due to random new things that pop up (like eating his litter... darn it), but I love him. The sleepy tongue! No tongue, but so darn cute. I love my baby! ... what, I already mentioned that? Well, I'm...

    Totally need vibes =[

Pirate's eating his kitty litter. Give us vibes!! He's also possibly constipated and maybe not urinating enough... I'm really worried. He's going to the vet first thing in the morning. I just switched him over today from clumping litter to Swheat Scoop, but I don't know how long he's been...

    Mystery Illness? @_@

My vets are very understanding about my financial situation; it's the specialists that need money up front. I do have care credit, actually, for my dentist. But my vets do not take care credit at all. =/

    Mystery Illness? @_@

They can refer me to a specialist, but I have no money to see him at the moment. *sighs.* I'm just at a loss. He's doing better, but his fever is back. I hate all of this!

    Dayton-area vets? + Pirate update!

Leslie, Thanks!! I'll definitely check her out. I'm actually going to be living in Fairborn, but I don't care about the drive as long as I can get a good vet - I'm so paranoid about finding a crappy one.

    Dayton-area vets? + Pirate update!

Is there anyone in Ohio (specifically Dayton area) who might be able to recommend a vet to me? I ask because I'm starting to try to find one, since we'll be moving at the end of March and will need one once we settle in. Even if Pirate's better by then, we want to check him to see if the...

    FIP test negative, but...

Okay, so Pirate's FIP test was negative. After being taken to the cat specialist here she said that first on her list was FIP and that she basically wasn't hopeful. Yet last week I was told his FIP test was negative (and I assume that means they tested for his antibody titres and that they...

    Forgot about this little gem.

This guy always wants to be held. He'll probably lose use of his legs one day from his insistence on being cuddled.

    Blood in eye?

Yeah, he's got lots of mixed stuff. He has some spots on his belly, too, and if you only looked at his belly you'd think he was a calico. And today is apparently one of his bad days; I actually have to wake him up to eat (though he has eaten a half can in two sittings! that is good for...

Someone thinks I have Siamese twins

I can just imagine in now... Ping & Pong [Smith]. What classy names for your children. XD "Ping and Pong Smith, please come to the front desk, your party is waiting for you."

    Forgot about this little gem.

The day he decided I was his mommy. I was so shocked and happened to have the camera in my hand, so voila. Picture moment! Ten minutes before I had come home, called him, petted him, watched him run to hide in his favorite corner... then, suddenly, after 3 days of hiding, he decided that I...

    Blood in eye?

*laughs* He'd probably do the same if he wasn't so exhausted. I'm curious to see if they have the same type of patterning now. XD He's got stripes down his back and swirls on his side. Adorable baby with four cute white paws. Anna could probably claim him as her son.

    Blood in eye?

I called my normal vet's office and they will be faxing over his blood test results & anything else the cat-vet's office wants. They are very cooperative with second opinions. I'll also ask for a copy at my appointment tomorrow, since it'll be helpful if I ever need it in hand. Apparently...
