My previous kitty was leukemia positive and also had a bad heart murmur. She lasted about what is expected-2 years. It was sad to find this out and think about it everyday, but she had a very good life. She was previously sort of a stray cat (people across the street had lots of cats, decided...
My poor little tortie kitten, over the weekend she started sneezing. Yesterday her eye was a little goopy, and when I woke up today her eye was glued shut. I came back from the vet not too long ago, and the vet says she almost definately has a viral infection-she thinks it might be herpes or a...
A friend of a friend on another forum found a tiny kitten in a Wal-Mart parking lot. She can't keep her as she has two cats of her own and is pregnant. She says she is very small. She is near the Palm Harbor area of FL.
Anyone know anyone looking for a kitten, or a place she can go to?
Definately! I've worked in boarding kennels and vets offices. The best two I can think of was an "Irish Water Spaniel" which was definately a chocolate lab/poodle. And a Border Collie who I swear up and down was a black and white sheltie (it was only like 15 lbs). Sometimes I wonder what people...
Docking is done when a puppy is 2-3 days old. I've done it under instruction of the vet I worked for. They don't even cry out, they have no idea what is going on. As the owner of a pointer with a full tail-I wish she had been docked as a pup, because I've considered numerous times amputating it...
When was he checked for a UTI? If it was while he had his cold, and he was on antibiotics, sometimes coming off antibiotics makes them have a UTI. Not too sure-I'll leave this up to the experts. Good luck with him though, he sounds like a real character!
Not at all! I was a vet assistant for a few months and I despised declawing. The vets wanted me to push it so it would make more money for the clinic-but cleaning up those little kitty fingers-ugh. They used the dog nail clippers...the guillotine kind...and just go *snap* *snap* *snap* on the...
What do you guys do about a cat trying to bolt out the door? He is not quite a year old yet, neutered male. We try and watch ourselves, but he gets out about twice daily (he's a quick bugger) but dosen't take off, we can usually run out and scoop him up-but I'm afraid one day we won't be able...
We got a kitten-mm about a year ago. Chronic vomiter-would vomit while it was eating, never while drinking. Went back and forth to the vet to get different medications and different foods. A month later it was still happening, went back to the vet again and there was a substitute vet-he...
Hmm..what brand are you using now?
TidyCats is more like little round balls instead of the regular "cat litter". I would imagine it wouldn't get stuck as easily.
