Phew! We made it! Geoff graduated from Johns Hopkins with a Masters degree in Public Health last week! I think grad school was harder on me than him (Think: living alone all year but having a ghost around that makes dirty dishes and dirty laundry)
Here's us, looking relieved! (I will let you...
I was reading the other post about making your own tree, and I don't think that I have the patience for it. I found armarkat.com, and they have really good prices and free shipping....I am just wondering if any of you own one. Reviews good/bad? I mostly just wonder if they are sturdy, because...
I was just making the bed (yes, at night, my BF is a grad student and I go to work early-early, so it stays rumpled most of the day, LOL!) and, of course, this means Pan has to swoop in to "help". His version of assistance is him running all over the bed as I try to straighten the sheets and...
How can Pan not be receiving enough attention? Someone is home almost all the time, we play for hours on end with multiple toys, he sleeps in bed with us at night. He will NOT stop "attack biting"....i.e. jumping off the sofa and sinking his teeth into my tender exposed flesh a hundred times a...
Just how flushable is WCBL? I am currently bagging the clumps and throwing away daily....but if it really can flush I would like to do that-seems more sanitary than throwing poop in the trash!
Here's the deal: we live in a 120+-year-old rowhouse in Baltimore....I am concerned because I am...
Anyone ever used/heard of this brand of food? I think it might be a Mid-Atlantic brand only(more local than nationwide), but I could be wrong. No by-products, no corn, no wheat, no soy....here is the ingredient list, how do you think it stacks up? Thanks!
Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whole Ground...
She was the sweetest dog I have ever known.....not a mean bone in her body, would let the kids climb all over her, and no matter how rough they got with her (our little one is only 2), she would just sigh, roll over, or lick them to pieces.
My beautiful brindle girl woke up with lumps on her...
Hi all...my guy gets two meals of wet a day, with dry left out during the day. He will not eat regular wet cat food (loaf-style). He only will eat chunky/gravy/sliced types of food. We tried some Merrick, and he did not like it....I think because there were (visible) veggies in it? Anyway...
My guy was neutered on Thursday, came home that afternoon, and has been doing great(active, eating, loving, etc.)...now, this morning, we put him out of the room so we could sleep in a little, and when I woke up and opened the door, he had urinated right on the carpet outside the door. I...
I am at work and can't stop thinking about him....I am sure he will be fine.
He will be getting sent home with pain meds. Does anyone know what they usually use and how it is administered? I forgot to ask this am. Thanks!
Just thought this was funny---after I clean, fill or scoop Pan's litterbox, he goes in and "rearranges" things the way he likes them. He shoves all the litter to the back end of the box, so the front end is completely bare, down to the plastic, and there is a huge mound of litter on the back...
My kitten is 5 months old and an absolute tornado. Teeth and claws--reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil. He has plenty of interaction and toys, and we have many toys that are wand-type. We discourage him from thinking our hands are toys, but he seems to have a hand fetish. He will randomly...
For those who use both wet and dry food, how do you divvy it up? Mine is on various kitten formulas (small cans), one in the morning and one at night, and then I leave a 1/2 cup or so of Wellness kitten out during the day. He seems to do well on this regimen...so, what do you all do?
Are rabies shots mandatory for indoor-only cats? I live in Maryland, and another round of vaccinations is coming up for Pan....I just hate pumping him full of vaccinations if they are not necessary or required, due to him being pretty low-risk(indoor-only, single cat). He is in the middle of...
Do kittens go through teething spells? I just ask because Pan has been chewing on EVERYthing the past couple days...books, the coffee table, my ankles, paper bags, etc....he play-bites when he gets excited, but he has been SO mouthy! I know they get adult teeth---when does this happen?
Here...
Well, I went to the vet yesterday for a routine kitten check-up and vaccinations, and got a serious lecture about how I am doing my cat a disservice by feeding him dry food only...but here's the deal: every time we have tried him on wet, he gets awful, awful diarrhea....pure liquid and stinks up...
Hi all, I am a new owner of a 10 week old Siamese kitten named Eliott...he is a very finicky eater....he hates dry food--he will eat dry food if mixed with hot water, but very sparingly, but he loves cooked chicken! Any suggestions for a kitten diet? I am feeding him Eukanuba kitten chow, when...
