    What is wrong with people?

I just want to complain about those people out there who tell me things like, "why don't you just get another cat", "you have allergies, why don't you get rid of your cat" and "well, you had him for 16 years and that's a long time". Just this morning, someone I consider a work friend told me I...

    I miss my kitten

Doing the right thing can be so hard sometimes, can't it? It was a gut feeling that these people were the right people for Taj and I believe in listening to our intuition. Let us know when you hear from the family and take good care of yourself.

    Another loss...

Yes, you are right. The vet told me that he would probably have gotten hit by a car or something else because he was so weak. So I feel good that I was able to keep him from some tragic, painful death. And I know that he is in a better place. I guess it's just that feeling. You guys know...

    Another loss...

Friday was the month anniversary of Lyndsey's death. I was driving down my street in the morning and I noticed a cat by the side of the road. He looked so pitiful and close to the street that I stopped. He came right over and kept meowing. I went back home and got some food and water. He...

    It's a month tonight

I still feel the same way. It will be one month on Friday that Lyndsey has been gone. It started to snow yesterday and I just wanted him to come sit on the heater vent like he always did when it got cold. I don't think about him every minute of every day like I used to but it's when I stop...

    Rusty 11/17/1993 - 11/5/2007

I am so sorry about your baby. I know the pain you speak of. I am that woman...38 years old yelling at my husband that I want to leave Lyndsey's body down stairs on his bed and yelling that I want my cat back. Now I just wimper awake every day. I've never shared that with any one for fear of...

Seeing and feeling my girl one more time

I have felt as you have...a little crazy, full of grief and mourning. I haven't had dreams about Lyndsey yet, but I truly believe that the souls of our loved ones go on and can let us know that they are okay. I don't know what to do without my best friend either. I am reading a book called...

    Jake- Gone but never forgotten

What a great video. Jake was so handsome! I found some old pictures of my buddy, Lyndsey, the other day. I know what you mean, it's hard to look at. My husband took video 3 days before Lyndsey died. It's just so hard to watch him. He seemed so happy. How can things change so fast in just...

Had to put my Hamster to sleep

When I was little, I had a hamster named Hercules. He used to run and run on his little wheel in his cage. He caught a cold and died a few days later. I was so upset because I didn't undertstand that he was gone. I'm so sorry for your loss.

    Haunted

Thanks Monique. I get what you're saying and appreciate your thoughts and prayers. It has only been 2 weeks and 6 days since my buddy died and, like brokenheart, I just want my cat back. But each day I remind myself that he breathes easy now with the other fur babies at the Rainbow Bridge. I...

    Haunted

I am a very spiritual person. And Lyndsey's death really tested my faith. For me it takes daily meditation, faith and prayer to deal with grief and mourning, my anxiety and guilt. I still have a hard time. It hasn't been that long since our babies passed. I hope you can find peace, too.

    Postumen Homenage......

That was so wonderful of you to share. My buddy, Lyndsey, used to sit with my husband on the porch when he would hand out Halloween candy to the kids. We always called him the Halloween cat. This year, I came back from taking my girls trick-or-treat and John had put a picture of Lyndsey on...

    Grief Support group

What she meant by bringing the head and the heart together is that when we grieve, our head knows one thing but our heart feels something else. For example, our head knows we did the best we could or that our kitties were hurting, but our hearts just want them back so we hear our innerselves...
