I am so happy your kitty is finally knowing what a full belly feels like !
I am glad you found a good way of taking care of her.
As I was reading, and before I read she is finally doing fine, I wanted to tell you about my experience with my orphaned kitty, now 1 year old.
Well, just so you...
We used to live next to an empty lot that belongs to the city, and after 2006 hurricanes, they let the area abandoned for a while, and we had an infestation of rats and mice coming from there.
My Suki used to bring us the " gift" of a mouse a week, but she made sure it was alive and healthy so...
Thank you all, I was anxiously waiting for your response so I could decide what to do.
I did check the SPCA website before your answers, but I couldn't find a place where to call about abused animals. I was thinking I would have to go to Miami-Dade Animal Services, which is a high kill shelter...
Thanks Tutti_bella, skimble and Rotobay, for your replies.
I just drove by again today to see if I either saw the cat or maybe someone, and I saw a man on his 70's feeding the cats. I guess they are more than 20.
I asked him if he took care of the injured cat that was on his driveway the night...
tutti_bella,
thanks for being online now !!!
I think the poor cat was hit by a car... it was very bad.
I am not a vet, but my guess is her spine is broken.
I have seen those people before, they do feed all those cats, they have 2 fancy new cars, and I can only hope they saw her when they got...
Hi all...
Sorry, I really need to vent on this, please bear with me...
I take 2 or 3 times/ week walks in the neighborhood, and there is a house about 4 blocks from here that has about 15 or 17 cats, all outside , most of them 3 or 4 month old kittens. I can tell they do not take proper care of...
I am also looking to adopt a dog, and found Petfinder to be a great tool.
Most dogs are in Rescue Orgs and/or foster homes, and the good ones make sure you get a vet checked, vaccinated, house trained and many times microchipped pet. They will ask you many question to make sure you are a serious...
She is a doll !!!
And very lucky too, to have found you !
Sounds to me that both of you are happily and quickly adapting to each other. Since she is so young, expect her to change habits soon, being probably less shy when around you, having a schedule to eat/drink/pee/sleep, and then stick to...
I took Theodora to the annual vaccines just today, she is 18.3 lbs.
She does have a lot of skin hanging from her belly that makes it look like it is almost rubbing the floor ! ;-)
Although I keep her on w/d as her everyday diet, her doc thinks she is ok.
I have 2 kittens in the house who eat...
Jen,
The leftover I have is about half of the big can of powder, not refrigerated, though. Should I just toss? It smells fresh to me , but who knows...
I am glad you warned about the video. I couldn't pass the second link though.
It shocks me how bad people can be.
I hope all those kitties used for that sick purpose rest in kitty heaven.
I recently had a young and very beautiful cat stolen, but I am still reluctant to believe the same could...
OMG !!! Could you please get her and kiss her a lot right now for me ??? Pleaaaaase???
She is a doll!
About KMR, GoldenKitty45, I have a little leftover in the can I used to give my now 11 week olds.... should I just toss it? They seem to love it still, but I don't know if it's not good for them...
I am so sorry to hear that...
When I had my orphans, they were 4, and two of them didn't make it either... they were too sick from something we had no idea.
Well, they are all now in kitty heaven, playing like crazy...
You did a great job by taking them and making their short life as good as...
I'd say so, but you may have to refill from time to time depending on the temp you have in the room. I am in Florida, so this wasn't an issue, just a blanket and they were about 90 F ! Also, I fed mine about every 3 or 4 hours in the first 2 weeks only ( their second to fourth week of life)...
I had to share and hear your stories!
I know it might even have been a dangerous situation, but I keep an eye on my 11 week olds at all times, so when one of them fell in the toilet I was right beside her. The poor thing ! Soaking wet from waist down, and hating it sooo much ! Well, I guessed it...
